There was also the crippling fear of commitment and stepping into the unknown. I often wish for a time machine so I could go back and slap my 19-year-old self around a bit for being a moron :-(

Although having said that, maybe it wouldn't have worked out, and I wouldn't have had her as a really good friend for the last decade instead.
