I seekretly think mangled history is hilarious. That is, unless it's done in an appropriative & problematic way, but Japan can mess up Europe's History without bothering me. Loved the strong portrayals of women in general. Ekaterin was especially awesome IMHO. I say this as someone who is direly ignorant of Russia's History pre-20th century.
