(no subject)

I feel like venting and ranting a bit.

I'm not sure about what. Memes in general ? I think I'd like to rant about memes, how they're this blinky gag-inducing cute attempts to make you believe you're connecting with people but with honesty and creatively but are really are just superficial narcissist questions that you'll be depressed if nobody answers and will be pissed off by the inanity of answers if they do. And despite the fact we all know this, we'll do them anyway because we're all desperate for the attention and because it's not like we have interesting to say anyway. Yeah, I could rant about memes.

Or I could rant about work, since that's the real reason I'm in a bad mood, but what's the point ? Who doesn't have stress with work ?

Why is the most superficial things that will get to you ? That will hurt you and change your behaviour ?

I think it's easier to get pissed off about superficial things because they're just superficial things and ranting about them is a nice way to blow off steam. I can (and often do) get ragingly pissed off about the world's injustices, but I'll be the first to admit that it's exhausting and difficult because you can't just stamp your feet about it and put it behind you; the big things sort of require change. *G* Or at least that's my theory on why I get cranky over silly things. It might not make sense, as I am exhausted and the lighting makes it difficult to see what I'm writing.

As for memes, some of them are really fun, so fun that I brush off the little twinge of guilt I get for attention-whoring. And there's a perverse enjoyment even when someone does one of those "say something anonymous to ten people on your friendslist" ones.

I don't think I'll end up doing the anonymous fic concrit meme making the rounds, though. If anyone wants to critique my writing, they're welcome to do so, but eh. I don't think doing it anonymously automatically makes the opinion less worthy, but I like to think my friends can tell me issues they have with their writing themselves.

Posting this a bit back, as your email address isn't public.

Your location is listed as France, yes? Did you happen to watch Gravitation? I know the guy who did the French subtitles for it and am curious as to how they turned out.

I did watch Gravitation, but in english-translated-from-chinese-with-a-dictionnary subtitles of doom; therefore will be of no help to you.

Actually I wasn't aware the anime had been translated. I know the manga's only started to be translated recently.
Or would that be a fansub I didn't know of ? (if so, give me a link, I wouldn't mind actually understanding the dialogues - given the intellectual level of the serie it's superfluous, but it might come in handy ^^)

He worked on the official translation actually, Japanese to French. I'll have to scrounge to see where I put the link he sent me. (It was several months ago, so I can't remember for certain, but I'd thought he said it going to theaters. May have been one of the others he worked on)
