Also, what exactly would you put behind "unhealthy"? Is there some kinds of unhealthy which you are willing to ship and others which you draw the lines at (which ones, and why)? Don't hesitate to give some examples!

ETA: this is mostly due to the fact that some of the comments on this post by meganbmoore made me wonder if I was the only one.

I also like when a fic is about putting a character apart. And putting them together, or not.

Exactly! To me, the worst kinds of fic are where the characters are pre-packaged as perfect:

"Sirius, love," Remus murmured, raising his endearingly touseled head from the pillow after another night of earth-shaking sex and deep, refreshing sleep. "I'm afraid we're so perfect that our story is rather dull."

His soulmate's bright eyes blinked open at him, and Sirius gave a lazy grin that displayed his straight square teeth. "You might be right, Moony," he yawned, stretching his lean, tanned, well-muscled body against the stain-resistant sheets. "Bugger." He gave Remus a fond pat and rolled out of bed and onto his feet, his magnificent cock half-hard already. "Right, then. I'm leaving you. For Snape. He swore he'd leave scars if we ever crossed paths again, but I think I can break him. Well. And have fun trying."

He summoned his robes, gave Remus a rakish grin, and was gone with a sweep of his wand.
