♥ (mostly Richard) :)
I finally finished Kushiel's Mercy the other day...

what did you think of it?

But I simply adore Richard, because he is such an unexpected character for his role, I find.
My usual lengthy ramblings are forthcoming, but in brief, Mercy surprised me by actually making me like Sidonie (is it me, or did Carey finally give her an actual personality in this one?) Didn't like the worldbuilding as much in this one, and the plot was a bit too much with the spiraling and the meta (and the sloooow for the first third of the book), but it was about what I'd expect. But I feel cheated out of tje Maislin/Imriel/Mavros/Lucius orgy with Sidonie and Amarante watching that the book clearly should have ended on.
