It's a little bit more than a month since I created abymage to post my anime reviews. I've posted 10 reviews during that time (Sukisyo, Durarara!!, Angel Beats!, Hakuouki Shinsengumi Kitan, Tatami Galaxy, Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, House of the Five Leaves, Bakemonogatari, Toradora! and RideBack). I didn't get a lot of comments yet apart from the Tatami Galaxy entry for some reason (and probably lost of a lot of readership from simply not posting them right there in the first place), but it's nice to see a couple of people I don't know joining the com to follow it, and I just installed a counter that tracks some nice info as well. I guess I'd get more feedback if I could come up with some more discussion orientated posts... >_>;

Oh man. I was making icons of the last couple eps today and filled with insane glee just from the memories. (How did Natalie Morales get even hotter in the last episode, anyway?)

they finally figured out how to style her hair? (it was painful thruogh most of the show, how they didn't know how to handle her hair)

Truly the dialogues were insanely gleeful!

This is true. They also had a bad habit throughout of using lighting that made her look washed out. Like, I loved that there was a female Latina lead? But a lot of the time, it felt like they were hoping we wouldn't notice, even though they referred to it a good bit.

I was so happy to have a series from the PoV of a female geeks!! so tired of the same old white (or japanese if anime/manga) straight male geek pov we get everywhere.

Yeah. There was enough good to make up for it, and then some. Also, unlike a lot of actresses, they didn't do her makeup to make her look washed out (Like Morena Baccarin's face being multiple shades lighter than the rest of her body in V), which makes me think the lighting may have been subconscious. Which is still annoying, but not as much so as other cases.
