WOOT my father got me an e-reader (a kobo), it seems to be working well. I am delighted, I'm gonna be able to read all sorts of things from long form fanfics from AO3 to, err, books on it, yay!

He also loaned me the Tinker, Tailer, Soldier, Spy novels, and then some bonus spy novels that he had it confused with at first, because [personal profile] flo_nelja made them sound very neat and I had asked him about.

BOOK HIGH NOW

WOOOOT!

If you like any non-AO3 fic, I've been using Grab My Books (grabmybooks.com, imbed it in your browser) to get stuff.

IT'S PRETTY AWESOME! I've been reading way more fic.

IF YOU MANAGE to get it to read the pdfs all the way through, plz let me know. Mine gets on perfectly well with e-pubs, but eats the last half (or however long it is) out of pdf files.

Yeah, des livres ! :-)
Maintenant, j'espère que les Le Carré te plairont, sinon, j'aurai l'air bête ;-)

Yay, ebooks! I absolutely love my ebook reader. Reading a paper book seems positively awkward after two years of electronic reading. What, only one typeface size? And I have to use both hands to hold the book open? Bah!

I BELIEVE YOU.

I was already getting very annoyed by how heavy and unwieldy hardcover books are ^^

haha, long et chiant? ou long mais bien quand même?

[identity profile] marryblack.livejournal.com 2012-02-14 01:00 pm (UTC)(link)

The original Sherlock Holmes stories are in public domain now. I think that they hold up really well.

If you read the first one (Study in Scarlet) skim the part about the Mormons. It's a bit longer than it needs to be.
