I don't think it breaches it either, but then I've heard it used mainly as a joking term. I didn't realize before your incident that it could be offensive, so I guess I'm enlightened now. Huzzah for rational conversation. But it sounds like, in your case, the offended party simply kicked you to the curb, which is a kneejerk reaction imo.

There's a lot of cases when you might assume people are aware of issues and be surprised that people really are! It's probably best to explain at least a little, I'll remember that ^_^

Yeah, I don't really know why they had such a kneejerk reaction, it might even not be all that much related for all i know! But :(
