13 Jul 2010 03:54 pm... well i guess it could be worse. Do you think I put too many Harry Potter fanfics in this? >_>;
miscelleanous
7 Apr 2010 12:22 am2. Firefox was really acting up, so I closed up all the many, many tabs I had, mostly to various fanfics that I was waiting to read for... err, when I felt like it. Actually, when I think about it, the shift of when I stopped reading fanfics much happened when I started using Firefox. Tabs killed by reading habits XD I kept links, of course, but I'll probably use them to read the fics themselves even less often than I was reading the tabs. It feels pretty weird to see my internet brower look so naked when I turn it on now.

Your result for Awakening the Hero Within: Hero Archetype Test...
You are the Seeker.
38% Innocent, 58% Orphan, 63% Warrior, 38% Caregiver, 79% Seeker, 63% Lover, 63% Destroyer, 71% Creator, 64% Magician, 33% Ruler, 79% Sage and 79% Fool!
Goal: Search for better life
Fear: Conformity
Response to Dragon/Problem: Flee from it
Task: Be true to deeper self
Gift: Autonomy, ambition
Addictions: Independence, perfection
The Seeker seeks to find a better future or found a more perfect world. Seekers often feel confined and are therefore vulnerable to the call of the unknown. Wandering begins with rather aimless experimentation. Often, this experimentation alienates those around the Seeker and the Seeker is forced to give up his/her conventional life to wander and grow. Eventually, the Seeker finds h/er Grail and can create a new life of convention.
Shadow Seeker
The Shadow Seekers manifests itself as an obsessive need to be independent that keeps us isolated and alone. Other times, the urge to seek will take destructive forms such as chemical addiction, or even to dangerous situations that produce adrenalin. Seeking is often dangerous. In a materialistic, secular society, the mountain to be scaled is often professional or vocational. Initially, channeling the urge to ascend into various kinds of achievement is very positive and healthy. Therefore, modern Seekers often find themselves seeking a high through their work, working an ever increasing amount of time to satisfy her/his needs.

The Mindgamer
Everything is possible, nothing is ever really over.
Fanfiction is a creative outlet for you. You don't intentionally write it, it just happens. You find inspiration in several fandoms, but are not obsessed with only one.
You like to explore "what if" situations. What if this character had never made this very choice? What if this event had taken place sooner, never, elsewhere? What if these people had never met?
You are likely to write Alternative Universes, fan seasons or sequels and just follow your (sometimes pretty strange) plot bunnies.

Your dominant hues are red and green, so you're definately not afraid to get in and stir things up. You have no time for most people's concerns, you'd rather analyze with your head than be held back by some random "gut feeling". Your saturation level is lower than average - You don't stress out over things and don't understand people who do. Finishing projects may sometimes be a challenge, but you schedule time as you see fit and the important things all happen in the end, even if not everyone sees your grand master plan. Your outlook on life is bright. You see good things in situations where others may not be able to, and it frustrates you to see them get down on everything. |
Huh. I'm way more nervous than they say, and I don't always finish things at all. On the other hand, I do love the kakhi colour to wear :) although not as much as olive if we're talking greens

Your result for The Perception Personality Image Test...
HFPS - The Humanitarian
You perceive the world with particular attention to humanity. You focus on what's in front of you (the foreground) and how that fits into the larger picture. You are also particularly drawn towards the shapes around you. Because of the value you place on humanity, you tend to seek out other people and get energized by being around others. You like to deal directly with whatever comes your way without dealing with speculating possibilities or outcomes you can't control. You are in tune with all that is around you and understand your life as part of a larger whole. You prefer a structured environment within which to live and you like things to be predictable.

I went to watch Kung Fu Panda tonight. Found it quite disapointing with the exception of the first 5 minutes which were truly great. Pretty to look at and occasionnaly funny but too much of a Cliche Storm for my taste. I don't know why I keep listening to the hype and going to watch those Pixar&co 3D movies since I find them almost systematically pretty boring and way too formulaic.
Speaking of movie, a couple of weeks ago, I watched Prince Caspian which was simply bad. Very bad. And made no sense plot-wise. And was very disturbing morality-wise. (and made no sense). And I watched In Brusges, which kicked mighty ass. Seriously In Brusges is really freaking awesome and you should watch it. It's hilariously funny in a dark humour way, it's got an extremely clever storytelling which just clinches. Wonderful dialogues in the Tarantino style. And, unlike a Tarantino movie, not an outlook to violence that is disturbingly gratuous but actually rather insightful and well done. Add kickass acting and what are you waiting to watch it? And I also watched Kurosawa's Rashomon which was very interesting as well.
I'll go watch the new Slayers now.

![]() You are a perfectionist, with an eye for beauty. You know how to live a good life - and you rarely deviate from your good taste. While you aren't outgoing, you have excellent social skills. People both admire you - and feel very comfortable around you. |
yay winged horsie!
You know, I've realised I tend to rant a lot of BSG on other people's journals & blogs & random places instead of doing it right here. I think it's because I have bashing in such a dislike that I'm afraid of doing it here, so I passive agressively do it elsewhere, which is all kind of stupid XD
So yeah, I've caught up on BSG and watched up to 4x10 Revelation. My thoughts are still kind of jumbly about it, and I'm not even sure if I liked it or not. I mean.... I liked moments, I liked scenes and images, there were a lot of extremely beautiful or enjoyable suches. But the overall narrative? I don't know what I think of it right now. I don't have the feel for it.

yay hanged man!
9 May 2008 01:20 amYou are the Hanged Man
Self-sacrifice, Sacrifice, Devotion, Bound.
With the Hanged man there is often a sense of fatalism, waiting for something to happen. Or a fear of
loss from a situation, rather than gain.
The Hanged Man is perhaps the most fascinating card in the deck. It reflects the story of Odin who offered himself as a sacrifice in order to gain knowledge. Hanging from the world tree, wounded by a spear, given no bread or mead, he hung for nine days. On the last day, he saw on the ground runes that had fallen from the tree, understood their meaning, and, coming down, scooped them up for his own. All knowledge is to be found in these runes.
The Hanged Man, in similar fashion, is a card about suspension, not life or death. It signifies selflessness, sacrifice and prophecy. You make yourself vulnerable and in doing so, gain illumination. You see the world differently, with almost mystical insights.

You scored as Seishirou You are like Seishirou Sakurazuka from Tokyo Babylon and X. Um... that's scary. People who do not know you very well may very well think that you are a kind and gentle soul - someone who loves animals and cares about the environment. But really, you probably couldn't care less. Hopely the rewatch is going to be fun; well I know it will be, it's Avatar ♥, but discussing it will be. Although it's already so much riddled with shipping wars I kinda want to scream and run away.

So, I'm asking for recs from my flist :) Can you think of a fandom with a big f/f ship which I may love?
I'm pretty open about media, although I tend to prefer stuff that are read (books and graphic novels) slightly better than stuff that are watched (TV series, movies and anime) - err, no video game though; and my kinks go to antagonistic pairings, mindfuck, eros/thanatos, etc. I think I tend to prefer canon or heavily subtextual pairings to fanon ones, but I certainly have nothing against crackpairings and there's always exceptions! Otherwise, you know, SFF, symbolism and mythology rock my world :)
