All deleted by LJ's abuse team.
Looks like LJ declared war on us.
Fine. What's another place that fandom could take over? Any of you have any idea? How's Journal Fen, for one?

If you have any fishy thing your interests list removing it might also be a good idea.

I guess we've made ourselves vulnerable by sticking on this place which is corporately-owned. Suddenly the idea of setting up a big archive by the fen for the fen seems like a much better idea than I thought previously!

That fen-run archive is sounding better and better. If LJ hops on the corporate bandwagon here, then I'll let go of my scepticism and just take a leap of faith.

Yeah, likewise. We need a platform for legal matter. And we need an official association anyway to defend our interest generally speaking. (RPG as a hobby does, and they're a good model of a co-creative community of people who have no trouble living with money-making and free-exchange co-existing)

Seriously, though. Have you read the Warriors for Innocence thinger? The incendiary language, the aggression, and general outrage over there could very well be a serious threat.

Have you seen this : http://liz-marcs.livejournal.com/266024.html
They don't even sound serious! Just random idiot crusaders type who think bashing others is the way to do good.

So I was right to report them to crank dot net as "lunatic crusaders in politics" after all!

I think you have to pay to get in, or be invited or somesuch thing. I do know, however, that I'm definitely going to keep an eye out for somewhere from now on...

"NOTE: JournalFen is currently closed to new free accounts. The only way to get an account right now appears to be getting a friend with a paid JournalFen account to set up a new free account for you. ETA: JournalFen is 18+ only."
I've been thinking about getting a JournalFen account for months (I want to infiltrate Fandom Wank) so etrangere and I and anyone else interested would need help.
It's also been wanked (link courtesy of keelieinblack):
