Drax the Destroyer
Oooh. A girl and her pet homicidal overpowered bad ass guy. I love those stories. Badass guy is played by Vin Diesel; and girl is played by Ellen Paige, in great impossibly blasée hipster form. Also that Skrull kind of steals the show.
For a first part of a very long story, it's already got a lot of references to stuff I don't know about; except for Moondragon being a name I've heard before in list of LGBT characters, and Thanos. I've heard a little bit of Thanos before. Okay, let's roll!
Annihilation
Overall a very good epic story, despite the boring "force of doom and destruction invades" premise, well paced, and making very good use of a large cast of characters & various plot threads. Except for the Annihilation : Ronan story which was boring crap. Oh and at times it kind of felt like we were having the cliff note version of the actual story, which was a bit weird & made me feel like I was missing out part of it. But, overall? Coolness. Kind of lousy gender politics, though.
