Yesterday I went back shopping, this time un St Michel, which must be my favourite place in Paris. There's nice architecture (like Notre Dame de Paris and various other old stuff), roleplaying games stores, american comics stores, Gilbert Joseph when you can get cheap english SF books and mangas at bargain sales, and the usual number of clothe and shoe shops. Overall, it's a nice place to spend time on a sunny day.
I got a gift for my mother at a lovely jewellery-New Agey shop : it's a silver necklace with grenat beads. I love grenat, and I love most semi-precious stones. I'm not one for gold and ruby/emerald/diamond/saphir, but give me amber, amethyst, aquamarine, grenat, turquoise etc. and I'm squeaking and drooling like a fangirl in front of a bishi.
I also found several missing volumes of X and one Please Save My Earth at good prices. I do hope to complete my collection soonish.
And last, I got Paladins of Soul my Lois Mc Master Bujold in paperback. Happiness ^_^

Today my mother did a barbecue (however you write that ?) which was very good and my sister came to visit us. Mum liked the gift, even thought she still doesn't believe that Mother's Day was last sunday. : /

Not just several centuries of architecture and art, but great shopping district too...

Paris just made it to the top of the "want to go to on vacation places" list.

Now I just need a vacation - preferably one together with boyfriend.

I love Paris every moment,
every moment of the year.
I love Paris, why, oh why do I love Paris?
Because my love is near.

*drools*, I wanna go back to GJ to bookshop again - I hardly even looked at the ground floor ( all comics and BD and manga, drools double). Thanks for the shopping guidance, I gotta go back to Paris one day.

The necklace sounds so lovely, congratulations on finding it, and I hope your mother enjoyed the mother´s day - and no need to do it on the same day everybody else does it. I also love pretty stones, amethyst, and quartz and aquamarine an jasper, so very lovely and solid and touchable. There is a cheap store nearby where they sell stones and stuff made some stones, but some of the things they do is a crime against stone-kind, poor pretty stones, taking millions and millions of years to be turned this beautifull to then be turned into fake swans or trees? argh.

ouch ! sounds painful for the poor stone ^_^

I would love for you to visit GJ again, as it would mean you're in Paris once more ;)

Thought maybe there's the same kind of stores in Prague, who knows ?

Paris and Prague...

Oh, I want to make it to Prague really badly, but it is unlikely I will go. It´s pretty expensive, fare wise for me, not sure I can pull it off. I will try though, and play the lottery just in case.

And perhaps next year Glasgow? I am sure there will be bookshops, and there will definetely be whiskey :)
