16 Aug 2004 08:54 pmI love that when I go to sell some of my used books to Gilbert Joseph, I always come away having spent more money than I just won. And when I say "I love" I do mean "vaguely annoyed but pretends to be faintly amused" XD
So here... X volume 18, one Magicians of the Night which is a sequel to a first volume I don't have, and Patricia A. McKillip's Riddle Master's Game trilogy in one volume. I'm crazy buying books when I've read so little lately, my pile of books to read is getting huuuuge. Maybe I should drop the Barker and just try something else.
Anyway, drabble posted at
togakushishrine for Shi's First Kiss challenge. After all the gorgeous answers everyone else gave I feel slightly ashamed of my own, but I never pretended to be a great writer :p
Should go now... I have all those RPG characters I'm supposed to be fill the background of. *sighs* Really not in a RP mood lately.
EDIT : this cracked me up
Anne-Elisa: Canada's a bigger place than the USA anyway
Geoff: Its true. If we were in Prison, America would be our bitch because we are on top and bigger. ^_~
Anne-Elisa: LOL
Geoff: *loves that joke*
Anne-Elisa: oh my god... I must start to ship CanadaxUSA ; "Canada : I'm your seme, bitch !" USA : "eeep !"

Hey, that is lovely!
Date: 16 August 2004 12:28 pm (UTC)And call me your addiction pusher, when you see something by either Martha Wells or Lynn Flewelling give it a try, I think you might like those, and they are good.

*chuckles* Sweetie, you say that as if I hadn't already read everything Flewelling published. As for Martha Well, yes I do remember your rec. But she's near impossible to find in english, and in french she's translated in that scandalously expensive edition I don't want to buy unless it's a bargain sale.
I sympathize with your envy ;) come live in Paris ! ^^

If you ever get the chance and time to visit Paris again, you do know I would be glad to invite you home, right ?

*chuckles* With all that slash, how would I not ? Seriously thought, Flewelling is one of those writers who i'm keeping an eye on because althought she's not very good yet, she's improving at an impressive speed. I have no doubt she will become one of the great ones in time.

Date: 16 August 2004 01:44 pm (UTC)About Flewelling, even her first books were good, nice stuff, IMO, the writing was nice, and the plot interesting enough, but yes, she is improving and improving, though she was already more than Ok to start with. If only she would write the final of the Tamir trilogy - but it should be out next year, apart from any AFFC syndromes happening!
Re: Hey, that is lovely!
Date: 16 August 2004 02:44 pm (UTC)But she already had a nice grasp of characters. I especially liked Traitor's Moon, very ambiguous crime story plot in a fantasy setting, was very nice to read. And the Tamir trillogy is, of course, so far excellent. Very capturing.
