No, no I don't believe so. Mind you, the books are okay, but they're not great either (and I still don't forgive the Hugo-Price-Thief thing). The fandom looks like it's got its interesting part, by sole virtue of being so big it's got to have good stuff, but there goes the limit of my interest.
2. lord of the rings score: 8
Another case of, I did like the book, but it don't put it on a piedestal. Still, I did like it better than Harry Potter ! But as a fandom ? Gah. Same for the movie in fact. Col stuff, but I won't touch this fandom.
3. music score: 8
It's not that I don't love music - I do - it's just that I never got around to getting myself aquainted with it. I lack the money and the time to fully consider this as an interest. I just don't have that big a CD or mp3 collection. I'm always glad to download more when my flist puts songs on sendit (it makes me very happy) but I feel way too ignorant to suggest things myself.

*raises eyebrow* It's not on my interest list ? Must add it at once.
5. art score: 7
Yeah, that should be there too.
6. tea score: 6
*chuckles* Yeah, I should add this one.
7. yaoi score: 6

Nope. I am not interested in coffee. Just not.

I don't like sushi. I like sashimi. And that doesn't make a very interesting topic of discussion either. What's with all the food interests ? I love food, I do, but how much can you talk about ? (okay, unless you're exchanging receipes)

Same goes for LotR, now that I think of it.

All the people on my flist are constantly complaining about sugar-high teeny boopers claiming OMG!S+S 4 EVER!1!1 E+T are so cute !, but I never get to see those, I only see the amazingly well written fics on the Shrine :)
On Lotr however, I've never seen any good things (that wasn't parodic at least)
