Yesterday we played Ars Magica. And we discovered my character is a fetch. As, in, a Changeling the Lost fetch, that is to say a replacement for a human being made of wood, water and mud and shaped into the human it replaces with faery magic. And that I had been so for years. In between, my character has had two children, one mariage and many adventures. And all this time, the 'real' character was up in that faery kingdom I had travelled to. Yeah. My GM is an evil genius XDDD

The changeling trick? Awesome to do it over many years though. My character was once replaced by a doppelganger in D&D and I had to play myself as an evil infiltrator for about two sessions, and that was hard enough. I was aware of what was going on though. Hmm. Your GM hadn't watched the BSG Season 3 finale recently, had he? ;-)

Heh, good point about BSG in a different way. It's funny to see the tropes that work in both fantasy and SF, the way they change given that tone yet still remain similar.

Tyrion, I think. He was instantly recgnizable as a very funy character.

Oh yeah, on the subject of the Kendra-love, the actress who plays her has been signed up to appear in the US version of LIFE ON MARS, which definitely makes that a show worth watching.

Sansa has grown on me a lot. Always terrifically well-written (the bit at the start of ACoK where Joffrey tries to scare her with her father's head and she doesn't even react is brilliant), she definitely grew up a lot in AFFC and became a lot more intriguing. I'm quite glad we're going to be seeing more of her in ADWD.

Hm, I've never actually met anyone who liked Brand, and am a bit surprised to learn that there are people who do. I mean, it's not like, even if one likes "bad boys", one has to go to Brand to find that in Amber...

I'm totally with you on #6 (especially Bleys!), #7 (and am gratified to learn that I'm not the only one who actually liked Fiona), and #9 (with the exception of Flora/Deirdre and the addition of Corwin/Bleys -- Corwin fainting into Bleys's arms as he Trumped over that first time started it, the battle up the steps of Kolvir sealed it as an OTP :D)

But as for liking Jurt... I'm afraid you're on your own ;P

Actually, she doesn't play but ever since we fought they are talking to me less and less, you know? They're civil, but kinda cold. One of the GM is her best friend, for example, and I became friends with them much later.

I see what you mean, I've had that problem too in the past (after breaking up with a member of the group). Maybe you can try converting people to RPG? If there's really no other players in your city.
