1. ► ANON MEME ◄

2. It's too much to wish that Wilson will actually leave and stay gone, I guess? I think between the previous finale and this ep I've crossed over from disliking him to actively hating him >_>; Not that anything that he said was untrue, but... he really riles me. I just hate how self centered about everything.

Hm why did you think he was self-centered about everything in this episode? Granted, I skipped most of season four, but it seems like Wilson is just starting put himself first for the first time ever.

Because his way of caring about others is about making it all about himself. Actually he was more self centered during the previous finale - like when his girlfriend was dying and she had to comfort him because the poor dear was so sad. As I said, I don't think what he said at the end was false, it was right on - which is why I wish he would stay gone.

Well I agree that his need to be needed is self-centered in nature, but the only way for him to fix that is to focus on him so he's healthy enough not to have a need to be needed. Sadly, I give him three episodes, top, before he's back to enabling House.

Oh, absolutely. I just happen to dislike him, it's not because he's a worse person than House on objective grounds.

Sadly, I give him three episodes, top, before he's back to enabling House.
My point, exactly.

I suppose I just misunderstood your point!

The PotW so foreshadowed Wilson's development. I bet you an internet dollar/

Well, I was just ranting a bit because I don't like Wilson.

The PotW so foreshadowed Wilson's development.
Ooh! Good point.

I don't usually, either, but for the first time in years, I finally started to like him.

I made a post on it!

OUR TEACHER IS SO EXTREME

SHE WAS COMPARING ALL OF THE CHARACTERS TO THE PERIODIC TABLE

it was an epic discussion 8D

Apologies for butting in, but, as a chem geek, I need to know who was compared to what on the periodic table. Do you mind sharing the conclusions of this epic discussion / analogy? :D

Uhh, I don't watch House and don't know the characters so all of it kind of FLEW OVER MY HEAD, but we were talking about how enzymes "hook up" substrates. We were like OH HAY, THEY'RE MATCHMAKERS~~ JUST LIKE HOW ELEMENTS BONDING IS LIKE ~*SEX*~

(this is how we remember these things 8DDDD)

The teacher said that people WERE like elements in that some were born noble gases; they don't need anyone else. And one kid said that was like House!

But the teacher said NU UH, HOUSE NEEDS WILSON!

So the general consensus was that he required only one electron for a full outer shell and wasn't very reactive 8D

Haha, thank you so much for humoring me and transcribing this for a show you don't even watch!

So the general consensus was that he required only one electron for a full outer shell and wasn't very reactive 8D

But... VII (if I'm understanding the analogy correctly) are actually pretty reactive... I do agree that House needs Wilson, though -- or, at least, bonds with Wilson in a really unexpected, unhealthy way. Maybe House is still a noble gas (Xenon), it's just that Wilson is fluorine, and so they are still able to make a crazy compound like XeF6? Alternatively, House could be some heavy transition metal, like Au or Pt, that's difficult to get interested in reacting with anything but that is not entirely inert...

OK, sorry, I'll quit geeking out about up to two things you probably don't care about... XP

We were like OH HAY, THEY'RE MATCHMAKERS~~ JUST LIKE HOW ELEMENTS BONDING IS LIKE ~*SEX*~

LOL! Your science classes sound like a lot more fun than mine ever were! 8B

:D you're welcome!

Hey, we're a bio class, not chem 8D and in any case, I was thinking more along the lines of xenon&fluorine myself! Dunno enough about metals to comment on that last part, though, haha.

(fffff, I love chem -- I just happen to be pretty bad at it 8D)

It's all in the teacher, man. Our current teach is amazing, and it makes the whole class just. A LOT MORE FUN~
