Philip Jose Farmer - whoa, that names comes out of the past - like back when you could read all the scifi there was.

Did he write porn Tarzan fanfics too? If so, please to be linking.

Yeah, I haven't read him since I was 17 or so. I was rather fond of his books back then, but I've no idea how I'd read them now.

He wrote a few novels and short stories tied to Tarzan, of which I only read one (Probably Lord of the Tree, itself the sequel of A Feast Unknown which had the much more evocative title in French of Comme une Bête), so really I can't link you like that XD the one I remember definitely had a lot of erotic content (although I was still young and impressionable when I read them, of course, so... YMMV) - of course I'm only calling them fanfics as a jest.

Pity :(

I did think that To Your Scattered Bodies Go (the only Farmer book I've read) was flawed, but it was entertaining as well and it was a fantastic concept for a story.

Haven't read this one, but yeah... I think he had some very cool ideas, and some very entertaining stories, but the execution was seldom flawless. Still, Riverworld is worth checking out. And without the World of Tiers series, Zelazny wouldn't have written Amber.

Wow, I remember reading The Lovers and... the one about King Kong, I can't remember the exact title.

May he rest in peace.

RIP Farmer :-(

I've read several of his books but not the World of
Tiers series: I have yet to check this one, heard
that's quite a reading. <80)

Yeah, it's good pulp, pretty fun in a very good ol' 60's romp way. And a major influence on the Book of Amber.
