Depending on which writing sample I supply, it says I write like either Stephen King or Chuck Palahniuk.

I just used one entry about errant poo in the women's restroom and it says I am JRR Tolkien. hahahahaha.

I tried four different stories and got four different results.

Apparently I write like Nabokov, Arthur Conan Doyle, Tolstoy and James Joyce, depending on the story. At least I didn't get Dan Brown.

In terms of writing style that's not bad, she's definitely readable

Me too. My best story, at that.
(But at least one human being told me that story read like James Ellroy, so suck it, meme.)

I didn't know other people got such a wide range of results until I saw comments to people's posts. Makes me feel like trying all my different fandom fics. >8D

It definitely depends on what you put in! I tried four different fics and I got: Mark Twain (there was a lot of southern speech in the writing), Chuck Palahniuk, and James Joyce!

I got Dan Brown multiple times. XD Also got Vonnegut and Lovecraft though -- on the exact same sample, but shorter. LOL.
