Is the epic bad ass awesome epic badass awesome? Yes, yes it is.
Excellent storytelling and flow; hilarity; also I think even with all the old fashioned "women are obsessed with men" stupidity it does more for having several female characters doing their stuff and being awesome than any of the modern runs I've read did >_>;
In fact, I love the way characterisation works so that everyone gets to be awesome at some point in the story. Love it when a story gives its due to most characters like that.

Also read the 2011 Loki miniseries, the Ancient Asgard miniseries, Thor Blood oath miniseries - which are all pretty good.
