Yes, I don't know too many folks in this fandom, and the only ones I do know are Felix fans, but from them I hear that Felix is apparently not that greatly liked, at least in the earlier books.

D'oh, yes, Lord Stephen. And I liked Kay's brother in law, too, whom I would've mentioned in my comment except I couldn't remember his name XD (Kay was OK, too, though I didn't find his narration as interesting as Mehitabel's or the brothers'. Also, the weird diction kept distracting me from everything else.) I know what you mean about Corbie -- I would gladly read about Corbie's adventures in magic-learning and was disappointed when she disappeared from the book, too. I also really liked her dynamic with Felix (which helped to reinforce my observation that all of Felix's even marginally healthy relationships seem to be with women).
