So in a discussion earlier I called 2009 a "she" without thinking about it. Which reminded me of I totally see numbers as having genders. Really. Like:

1 is male
2 is female
3 is male
4 is male
5 is male
6 is female
7 is female
8 is female
9 is female
(1)0 is male

I can also tell you that 1's just a baby and rather selfish, 2 is friendly and spiritual, 3 is grumpy, 4 is shy and looks up to 5 a lot, 5 is a bit of an ass hole, 6 is serious and a bit nerdy, 7 is sexual and hedonist, 8 is the mothering type, 9 is stern and authoritative and 10 is mysterious and alouf.

Where the fuck did I get those from??

My new default icon! Which I use because it's pretty! And pretty! Where does it come from? I dunno, looks like some kind of modern art, perhaps? Yeah, that's all I know. Did I mention it was pretty? Anyway it's pretty and textless, goes well with the colourings of my new layout and is vague enough that I won't feel uncomfortable when it defaults other more appropriate icons I may have used in any comments, so it's great as a default icon. And pretty.



tomboy_typist took it upon herself to point me to this icon, which she was right to do because even though I had probably seen it quickly before i had not given it the attention it deserves. It's an awesome icon!! XD
Sandor is a guy with a scar who's one of my favourite characters in ASOIAF. He has a horse called Stranger, which is a bit blasphemous of him given that Stranger is the name of the God of Death where he hails from. It just so happen that my nickname on the internet comes from the horse (I translated it to the French "Etrangere" when I was in the Buffy fandom so as to be taken seriously despite my many typos using the English isn't my native language excuse). I also adore unicorn ever since I first watched The Last Unicorn when I was so young I don't remember anything from the experience but an obsession with unicorns. Which is probably why I find this "fake spoiler" icon so hilarious. Although it's also hilarious by itself, because ASOIAF is SO not the sort of book with unicorns (dragons, yes, magical poney sized wolves, a right, kraken, mayhaps; unicorns, nah) and even if it was, Sandor would definitely not be the sort of guy to be associated with one. Although it brings all kinds of crackful ideas to mind. (Hey! Perhaps Sandor's a virgin!).



This is one of my Utena icon. The blinking hand, for the people who don't know Utena, is actuall in the anime, blinking mysteriously to tell you "hey, this cat is important!". How is the cat important? How is it relevant? What does it mean symbolically? There could be many different answers! So yeah, it's my "deep shit" icon, for intellectual and deep shit I may want to analyse and stuff. Or it could also be an icon about being in deep shit, because that guy with the pink hair? He doesn't know it yet, but he's in very, very deep shit.



This is my huggles icons, for when I want to express my love to and comfort my friends. Which is very necessary because I suck at those sort of stuff and in real life I hate hugging people. Yeaaaaah. Icons are handy. It's also a Firefly icon! I love Firefly, but it's one of the series I almost never read fics for. I guess I don't ship enough. Although if I had to pick ships for it, one of them would be Inara and Kaylee here present. They have cute, femslashy interaction; and are both gorgeous women *_*



It's my kinky icon! For, errr, kinky stuff. Like handcuffs. And whips. And spanking ("spank me! spank me!"). And bondage! And wax play! And blood play! yeah, I can continue this for a long time. I've always been veerrrrrry intrigued by BDSM. I've only started very recently to look into it more seriously. But I love kinkiness in fics (and fiction in general). The icon maker, veryvisual made a whole series of retro naughty pics with hot women used in icons I still have on my harddrive, and I really like it.



My previous default icon. Much like my default icon I have no fucking clue where it comes from. But it looks pretty. And is textless. Also it shows Europe and I'm European (Fuck yeah?) Shit, what else can I say about this icon?

A Code Geass icon. I have conflicted feeling about Code Geass... it's got so many flaws and plotholes and fanservice and idiotic stuff and bad resolutions. On the other hand it pushes so many of my buttons! *sighs* Anyway it features Lloyd which is one of the many awesome and hilarious secondary character of the series. Lloyd is a scientist with utter lack of common sense / sense of tact & society & stuff like that. It is unclear if Lloyd does not understand those things or if he choses to disregard them because he has the social position to do it and they hold no appeal to him. In any case, he looks at most everything from a very... scientific point of view... sort of "Mmmmm interesting" but also very amused. There are times when this is very close to my mood and point of view on things. So this is my "Mmmmm interesting" in an amused tone of voice icon.



That's the only icon I have ever done for Sarah Connor Chronicles. The text is a quote from the series. I loved it so much I made the icon right after the episode. "Bitch" is a complicated word in the English language and I come at it from another language of course; but I've always been pretty fond of it, of using it as a word of power, which talks about assertive and intriguing women. On the other hand, reclaming words isn't very easy, so I don't really have that many occasions to use it even if I want to because it can be so easily offensive instead. But the episode used, not only "bitch", but "bad bitch" in a way that I found really glorious. Sarah asserting her strength and aggressiveness and resilience when cornered, without glamorising. Very powerful.



Silhouette from Watchmen. Silhouette is a very minor character in both the comic book and the movie, but she's a bit fascinating. And a lesbian. And got murdered (as long with her lover) because of that :( But!! she was still a superheroine and was pretty kickass in that cocky and sarcastic way. So I use it as a "Lesbian (and LGBT people in general) rocks! icon and of course as a Watchmen icon in general.



Another Utena icon! I've gota friend who just started watching Utena, so you, you know who you are, go to the next icon now if you don't wanna be spoiled!
Okay! So this is a very funny icon, first, because Akio really does sleep with the entire cast XD second because Akio, aka smooooooth manipulative bastard that he is is scared of the Shadow Girls! The Shadow Girls are a Greek Chorus kind of characters in the show, we only see them do short surrealistic and puny skits once per episode but which reveal very deep stuff about the show in general. IOW, they know stuff. Probably they could blackmail Akio. hehehe.
Yeah, I'm a bit hyper, I haven't slept at all.
Also I love the "Dear LJ" thing, to use it when I have crackful or really silly stuff to tell on LJ; and the fake confession thing. I really don't much sense anymore.

This is Revvy! My new fictional girlfriend along with Michiko. She's awesome and sexy and badass and slightly psychotic. This is one of the icon I use when arguing stuff/flaming people/being unamused about an issue. It's a dare icon "come on, mess with me, I dare you!" I don't think I use it all that often XD Also with stuff related to Black Lagoon in general!



Azula from Avatar the Last Airbender. Azula is a wonderful Manipulative Bitch and a great villain in general. And she plots verrrry well. (Also she's so hot). Anyway it's a great icon for when I'm feeling in a scheming mood and planning something naughty (or planning something fannish, really). Or planning something at all.



It's a Princess Tutu icon. Princess Tutu is an adorable and quite clever anime which does a lot of subversion of fairytales and meta stuff and is generally very good and you should watch it if you haven't yet. Anyway it's another feel good and warm fuzzy feeling toward my friends kind of icon. Because those kids are very cute.
