Finished writing the char for Vincent's Dragon Blooded game at last, and sent invitation for birthday party.

You and I must have the same taste - I also got Aoshi for my anime boyfriend. Although I have a huge crush on Kenshin and Spike. And I'm also a vampire in the quiz from a couple of days ago. And, my relationship with my mother sounds very similar to yours when I was your age. All I can say is hang in there - if my relationship with my mother could improve, so can yours. I just accept that she's the only mother I'll ever have and she may not be able to give me what I need in a mother but that's okay - I'll get that stuff from somewhere else. The other thing that's really helped in being separated by 10,000 miles for over 10 years. And I'm only half-joking when I say that!

Which Spike do you mean, here ? The Buffy one or the Bebop one ?
I can't say I've ever had a crush of Kenshin, but i haven't read the comics for very long, and only saw one anime (which was gorgeous)

I don't have a clue who Aoshi is. My familiarity with anime starts with the Otomo stuff (Akira, Memories, etc), Ghost in the Shell, Rurouni Kenshin, Cowboy Bebop, and the Miyazaki stuff (Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke) and the fantastic Fooly Cooly. I'm starting to get into Tenchi and a few others.

I meant Spike Speigel from Cowboy Bebop. Although my favourite character is Ed.

My only problem with my mother is that I'm returning to Sydney and I'll have to deal with her daily. Luckily my brother and sister are sane people and hopefully I've matured some in the last 10 years - enough to be patient in my dealings with her!
