Friday evening I went to watch Hellboy with some friend (yes, Hellboy was just released this week in France, yes distributors suck). I wasn't overly impressed. Well done movie and enjoyable enough to watch, but totally lacking in surprising twist and pretty boring plot.
I also was in a pretty antisocial mood and had trouble discuss with my friends after while. :/
Yesterday my parents went home from vacation. They're only staying a few days before going back again. So far so good. And it's my mum's birthday today ! ^_^
She made loubya couscous for the occasion, one of my favorite dish ever. It's an algerian speciality with beans. De-li-cious.

Changed quite a few of my LJ icons. Yeah I know, I'm very fickle about those and change them very very often, but it's not my fault if people are always making some that are just to fucking pretty for me not to swoon over them and want them to be mine, mine, my preciousssss.

the snapy comebacks did make it fun to watch. Gave it a very Buffy feel, which might be why I was so disapointed :
It feels like they had some kind of ambition about the themes they wanted to talk about, but then they didn't manage to deal with them with any remote subtility.

Still, as a comic adaptation movie it was better than say, Daredevil. Just somewhat of a let down.

I've never seen Buffy so I couldn't say. XD But yeah, I loved him. hehehe! I think that's the thing about a preliminary films. They try to set up so much, that sometimes they don't realize that they don't fully explain some things or don't deal with certain things correctly. But for what it is, I liked it a lot. ^_^ I hope for a sequel! Whee!

I only saw Daredevil twice in the theater just to see the X2 trailer. >_> Yeah, I was obsessed with that film. haha!
