I'm not sure Subaru's eyes are very humurous ^_^ which i why i actually i often have a hard time with the colour his eyes being used to describe his character...

You know-- when I think of green, I think of innocence/ignorance and of extreme jealousy.

ie, The newbie is green.
ie, green with envy.

I also think of natural vibrance-- like a green spring or summber-- brilliant colors of new growth in the flora.

Humor is more in the orange-yellow spectrum to me.

I know jealousy is supposedly green but i never could see it that way. For me jealousy is a reddish orange.

But for me green is a colour of wisdom. Like nature, new, but ageless. Millenias old but still there, still fresh. Laughing with wisdom, good nature and mystery.
When I think of green I think of medicine and poison, venom and healing. And things that are rich, and happy, and lucky.
But really, not innocence, no ignorance.

I think colors associations can be very subjective of course.
