Fire and foremost, a very happy birthday to [livejournal.com profile] shineko the coolest fandom mommie ever ! I hope your day is going on wonderfully Shi dear and may all good things happen to you ♥

My boyfriend is coming on Tuesday morning. Which means I have to move in my appartment to recieve him then... hehehe not everything is quite ready (still no fridge among other things) so it's going to be... interesting. As well as the fact that I couldn't take a vacation for the time he's there so I'm going to have to work at the same time >_<
I don't have an internet connection there, of course, so i'm probably going to be a bit scarce online the next two weeks *waves*

This evening I was at the cynagogue for the end of the month period of mourning for my uncle. At some point during the service a guy (not a rabin, just some president of some association) started making one of the most infuriating and warmongering speech about Israel. I would have strangled him. Not only was his rethorics puke worthy, but talking about politics and war in such a contest, when most of the people presents were friends of my uncle.... simply indecent. Urgh.

The day has been wonderful. Thank you for the good wishes! *cuddles*

And, ugh. I am truly sorry about that guy who started the speech ><; I'm also sorry someone didn't slug him for doing that, no matter what his position was.

I'm glad it's been a good day for you ^^

There was a few people complaining aloud (among which my mother) and several people stood up and walked away but nah... I mean, he was obviously scheduled to do the speech in the first place... >_<
Oh well, I don't have to go to that cynagogue again, after all.

It sounds awful about that speech. I am glad for the people, including your mother, which acted out, it does mean something even if that guy did not show to care - but people need to do something when they hear it. I wonder what kind of people can dare to push religious agendas in funerals or memorial services, I mean, what kind of people are they? Recent national case, at the 7th day mass for a 5 year old girl which was murdered by her father and grandmother the priest presiding passed a sermon about abortion being worse than killing a 5 year old girl "which could defend herself and scream".

And good luck with the move and best to F - have fun guys :)

Well the context is a bit more complicated than that.
Memorial services like that one, done at the cynagogue are made as well as the usual daily service. And today is a feast because it's the anniversary of the reunification of Jerusalem. So that's why the guy was making that speech. Not that it excuses the content of it, but he wasn't pushing weird ideas during a funeral. The problem was rather pushing nationalistic agenda in a religious occasion. :/

That thing about aborption is utterly disgusting ! The nerve of some people I swear !

Thanks ♥
