salineaIn fact I feel almost good. I was sick this last week. Nasty little virus. So of course since I was home and fevered and bored and generally limp I couldn't bother to update. Now that I'm back to work, I feel like posting. And have no time. Of course !
Anyway, I watched almost all the Utena in the meawhile. Which is just as lovely, genderbendy, mindfuckingly twisted as I remembered it. Does anybody know of a place on the web where there's an Utena fandom active ? Please ? Pretty please ? Even on usenet, I swear...
I also re-watched the first five episodes of Furuba with my friend Nicky.

I write on occasions. I've written for BtVS, Tokyo Babylon-X1999 and Harry Potter. Favourite respective ships being Buffy/Spike, Angel/Spike, Buffy/Faith; SeishirouxSubaru; SnapexLupin and SiriusxRegulus.
2. Fandoms/Pairings you are ADDICTED to at the moment:
Right now it's mostly the HP fics previously mentionned. I don't say no to SnapexSirus either. Or SnapexDraco. Or SnapexHarry. Or SnapexLucius. Or Snape with almost anybody male really.
I'm also fond of Bellatrix/Narcissa. And anything gen or incestuous with any Blacks really.
Godric/Salazar is also pretty insistent on shagging each others' bones in my mind, whether or not that might end up being a fic remains to be seen.
And today as yet, Subaru just said hi and threw a plot bunny at me as if he hadn't disapeared for a few monthes.

The newest I'm at is Harry Potter. Definitly enjoying the fandom, in all its grandiose wankitude and smuttiness.

Errr, some ships I have are canon and some are not, and I seldom feel the need to make them 'crossover' I don't know. Maybe KuroganexFye is the one I think would beneficiate more to become canon as it is.
6. You're only allowed to read fic from one fandom (any pairing) for the next three weeks. What fandom do you choose?
As it stands right now, Harry Potter. It's a big fandom, which I appreciate for the variety and eventual quality. Smaller fandoms wouldn't satisfy my... needs otherwise, unless it was a fandom I was new and getting into (which could be a fun alternative !)
7. You're allowed to refer to your favorite ship only by a shipper name. What ship is your favorite and what would you name them?
Huh ? Err if I have to be dorky I'll refer to the SeishirouxSubaru as Seisu. Then I'll be dead because Seishirou will have killed me.

There's the Tokyo BabylonxClamp Captor Sakura crossover I'm still hoping to finish one day. If what you want is really spectacular, though, there's my Tokyo Babylone x The Last Unicorn fuzion.

I only read good porn. No fic then. It'll be good for my TBR pile of books.

At 2 in the morning ? Darkfics. With character death or, mindfuck and/or SM. Of those I think a really well made mindfuck is my favourite.

That'd be TouyaxYuki. My most "fluffy" ship.

I'm hesitating between SeishirouxSubaru because it's so very ultimately amoral as a love story, and SiriusxRegulus because, duh, it opened my eyes to the beauties of incest fics.

There's very few character I feel strongly in a bad way. Oh, I know ! Arya Stark could use some sense into her. Not that I don't adore her but... she was pretty mean to my darling Sandor the last time, ya know.

Right now that would be Saionji. The guy's a jerk and has got very few redemptive factors but, well, he does have some and I'm extremely fond of him all things considered.

I got into fanfics with BuffyxSpike. I got into slash with VerlainexRimbaud ;). I first got into proto-fanfics with SandorxSansa. I can't honnestly remember what was the first "ship" I like in a story, though.

Date: 17 August 2005 03:47 pm (UTC)Furuba is NOT like Love Hina. In any shape or form. Furuba is a very good and subtle shoujo with great characterization with a mix of humour and angst. Love Hina is a romantic comedy shounen with bad and simplistic characterization. The only similarities is that in both the main character unexpectedly comes to live with a bunch of other characters and get to know them.
I hate Love Hina. I adore Furuba.
Yay for having it on TV. I hope it's subtitled ? There's a few anime on TV in France right now but they're all dubbed and it's awful :(
