My sense of humor is... Absurd Does nonsense make sense to you? Then absurd comedy might be your fish. Did you know that there is actually a word that means "saying something totally illogical"? It's called a "non-sequitur" and comedians use them to abruptly confuse or surprise you.Read more... What is your sense of humor? |

Yay for sense of absurd and Terry Gilliam Haha. I have a feeling the other kind of humour I get off on is dark, but absurd is indeed one of the thing I like
Your word is BUGGER. You are generally quite
restrained, but sometimes your anger or
frustration come to the surface and it all
comes out. Yet you somehow can't stop sounding
polite, despite it all.
Which Swear (Curse) Word Are You?
brought to you by Quizilla
Oh, cool, I love that curse word. Bugger this, bugger him, bugger you, in the wise words of Sandor Clegane. Besides, it's so slashy ^^

Ask me my opinion on any character from any fandom, and I will say. If I do
not know the fandom, I will say what I think I know based on fannish
osmosis.
I remember doing this with ships before. Cool memes.

Akio and his little games is pretty pathetic too. For most of the serie we see him as the masterplayer, positioning all his pawns and (mind)fucking about everyone. But in the end, he's so powerless. A little boy with his toys and his illusions and his cars. The only reason he appears to be in control is because he mostly deals with children. All he's got is built on illusions of course - and on the Rose Bride.
Poor, poor Akio.
Then of course there's Dios and the mystery of how they relate with each others. How could Dios come for Utena that night when he was already Akio ? How much does Akio really wants to become Dios again ? How much is he aware of the vanity of his goal ?
I don't know. Akio as a fallen Dios is eternally caught in trying to grasp back the faded glory and innocence of his childhood days - just like most of the Duellists are. The whole game is about using other people's believes to believe in Dios. Maybe sometimes it's good enough to trick himself into believing it's there. Maybe what still remains of Dios still exist somewhere separate from Akio (possibly in Anthy). Possibly Dios' power belonged with Anthy all along.
Akio's relationship with Anthy is the most intriguing thing about Akio. It would be easy to write out as simple abuse and control from him to her, but it's not. It's not. It's too twisted and complicated and mutually abusive for that. I do believe Akio cares genuinely for Anthy on some level. I think of that scene when she's in the car and he comments about the pain she's in, and the fact he's not causing it, the world is. A part of him is concerned. Another part of him thinks she's got it coming, of course. Her own fault, after all. But he needs Anthy, needs her in a fundamental way that he probably doesn't totally understand, and is possessive of her even while he sets her up with others to advance his gools.
She's probably the only person he cares about.
All in all, at the end of Utena I've got a feeling every single character have a chance to grow up and seize Revolution for themselves. Even Akio, though it'd be the most difficult for him. Maybe Anthy's departure will be enough to shake him up. Maybe not. I do think that Dios is hopelessly gone, but there has to be a balance between the pure altruism of the Prince and perfect selfishness of Ends of the World.
He could get there, someday.
