Tell me what you think about Lady Sumeragi or Kamui :E

I like Lady Sumeragi. She's a tough old lady. But we know so little of her. She's a strict person, very polite and she exhudes an aura of power. It's easy to see her as intimidating but at the same time I hate to see her bashed as insensitive and cold, especially to Subaru in fanfics. She cares a lot about her grandson and I believe she wants to see him happy, even if she's principled.

I wish we had some scene between Hokuto and her. In a way, I believe they're very similar persons - obvious differences of generation and style apart. I could see them clash a lot because they both have a very strong personnality, but I imagine they love each others a lot.

I wonder about Subaru's parents, and whichever was Sumeragi-sama's child. What happened there that she had to raise both of them from a very young age.

I love that Seishirou obviously respected her and her work which he gives as a reason for not ending the bet early. ^^ Seishirou is obviously quite impressed by both Sumeragi women in his way too. I love to see the both of them interact in fics, it's usually very interesting (when well done)
Tea with Obaa-chan is my favourite fic which deals with that.

Now I want to re-read Tokyo Babylon >_>

*hearts you!* Yes! I'm sick to death of Lady Sumeragi being seen as something evil and horrible. Her love for her grandchildren is beyond clear in Tokyo Babylon and X. She's not harrassing Subaru over the phone, she's worried about him. And yes, I wish there had been scenes with her and Hokuto. That would be been nice :x

It's hard to find good fics with decent Seishirou-Hokuto or Seishirou-Lady Sumeragi interaction. Most just redo the old jokes and scenes and scurry to SeishirouxSubaru stuff. It's sad. And 'Tea with Obaa-chan' is one of my favourites! And yes, it deals with Seishirou and Lady Sumeragi beautifully.
