The only Yuu Watase serie I'm not ashamed of liking. It's creepy and a bit gorey, and certainly holds a lot of horror, in between the ususal Watase gimmicks. I love the basic ideas of the story and a lot of the plot is actually decent. I adore the crossdressing rock star girl and the doctor that looks just like Watari ^^ - david brin:
He writes good Sci-Fi. A bit of hard science and a bit of space op. I especially love the idea of "up lifted" dolphins and chimpanzees. He's also written a decent "woman only" planet. - femslash:
Girls and girls = double fun ^^ There's few femslash pairing I adore because my favourite ships tend to be disturbing, twisted and hate/love and to many femslash ships are too sugar and spice for my tastes ^^ but I do like quite a few - horses:
I love horses. Always did. I don't have much occasion to go horse riding, but it's my favourite sport.
Sorry for the girly interest :p - luis royo:
He's a latin artist. I love his style. Half naked girls in leather and piercings and with swords, necromancers, monsters and winged women all absolutly delightfully fetichist. Very sexy. - neil gaiman:
Gaiman isn't the best writer you can find. Sometimes his pacing is off and his characterizations could be better. However you'll never find a better storyteller. He weaves mythes and faded dreams in a way that finds instant resonnance in most people. I especially adore Mirror and Smoke, Coraline and Stardust. Did I mention I bought Anansi boys this week end ? - rg veda:
Another of Clamp's work. Kujaku, the token mysterious cheerful character of this one is my very favourite Clamp male character. Gore, doom, Hindu mythology and epic style battles. - stephen donaldson:
As a fantasy writer, he's got a very interesting style. I like the rawness of his characterization, as well as the lyrism of his setting. Besides, "A Dark and Hungry God arise" and "This day all Gods die" are some of the coolest titles ever. - tokyo babylon:
Clamp's best manga. I love the story. I love the grim yet naive-like outlook on modern society (it hasn't aged in fifteen years either). I love the thematics of communication and loneliness and otherness. I love Hokuto, and I adore Seishirou and Subaru and their oh so twisted romance. - wisdom:
a goal to strive for. If I want one thing from life, it is to learn.

Je suis désolé, j'ai vu "capitalisme" et l'ai perdu. Il avait détruit ma vie récemment. ~__~

Date: 21 September 2005 06:47 am (UTC)The two main parties are the RPR to the right (the heir of Gaulism) and the Socialist party to the left, which has been in disarray since their candidate didn't make it to the 2nd turn in the last presidential elections.
There's a Centrist party which is usually allied with the main right. They haven't been too bad off these last few years.
The right in general isn't as associated with things like religion as the Republican party is in the US. Instead they'll make big speech about laicity and the Values of the Republic. There's a very small mid-to-extreme right party that's about Christian values, I don't remember its name.
Funnily enough, people who are more economicaly for free business and stuff like that are called Liberals. Some of them are in RPR, but lots of old values of that parties don't quite work with it. Others are in an independant party (there's A LOT of small parties, they get represented not too difficultly in assemblee elections)
There's a score of extreme left parties, like the Parti Coommuniste, but also Luttes Ouvrières and many others. Marxiste or Trotskiste parties etc.
The Front National is the biggest party of the extreme right, of course.
There's no Libertarian party that I've ever heard.
I haven't been following politics at all recently, though.
