27 Nov 2005 10:50 pmI've made a new layout. Not sure how long I'll keep it as it's pretty flashy, but there. The header is a picture by Amano.
I went to see Brothers Grimm yesterday. It was pretty good, fun in a shallow, not taking itself much seriously way. It was full of little Terry Gilliam habits I really appreciated. And it was ever so slashy.
I had been told it was bad, so I wasn't disapointed by it for a Gilliam movie, but I might have been otherwise.

Date: 27 November 2005 11:25 pm (UTC)His work on The Dreamhunters was just amazing, and also perfect. I so envy that.. and also think it amazing to do. Not just how right he got it and beautiful; but, the way his work supports and makes the story bigger (I don't mean to downplay Mr Gaiman here either.) And in some his illustrations are so good they are actually tactile.
After that I surfed a lot online and it just made me incredibly hungry to know more about his work and to see it in person. That would be one of my big wishes for next year.
*koff* yes, bit of a fan. Pardon the blather. :-)

Nothing to pardon, as I love Amano as well XD

I wasn't playing anymore in many places, so I went to a very small movie theoter in Paris. It was an old theater and had little cherub around the screen. It was pretty weird ^^

Wow. That theater actually sounds really interesting. :D

Date: 27 November 2005 10:39 pm (UTC)Venezuelan educative system wasn't strong on art history, I'm afraid.
I'm not sure I like him or not. I don't fancy 20th century's art so much.

Date: 27 November 2005 10:49 pm (UTC)I guess I prefer ancient art and Renaissance's. Not that meaningful, sometimes boring, but pretty.
Then again, my schooling never got me in contact with a lot of art styles. I'm such an art analphabet.

Date: 28 November 2005 08:02 pm (UTC)Yes, I agree Renaissance and ancient stuff are better. Or non Western ^^
I don't think we did study a lot either in class. I remember I learned some stuff in Spanish class, ironicaly (about Goya and ... that guy who did the little Infante stuff, very famous Velasquez ? I think it was Velasquez, yes) or maybe in History (but nothing I remember clearly) but none in Drawing class XD
