They want me to read more than I do ? Are those people for real ? If I didn't read so much I might actually get some writing done ! Urgh.
Anyway, if anybody wondered where I disapeared, but connection wasn't working for the last two days. I have a gazillion fics to catch back on. *hops off*

Date: 2 May 2006 08:53 pm (UTC)My thoughts :
03. All fics must not be of drabble-length but fic-length.
I think you should specify a word count there. Say, more than 500 words for exemple.
Will write:
Will not write:
Maybe be more specifics about what people will write and not write (as categories) : pairings of course, specific warnings (kinks, character death...) to give them more ideas.
You'll need to plan for replacement writers because some people will not write their fics. I'm not sure how those are recruited usually in such fic exchange maybe add a question to the list for people saying they're willing to do that (which entails having much less time to write the request and much less choice on the subject)

Date: 3 May 2006 04:50 pm (UTC)Ok! I'll edit in the five hundred words thing and expand on the will/will not part with this::
Under the last two, please specify with pairings/characters, whether you can do smut or not, character death, and so forth. If you are flexible, reply with that as well.
Is that fine?
:O I didn't think about the replacement writers. Alright, so I'll toss in something like this at the end::
In the case that someone does not come through with their fic, we will need replacement writers. You will have to fulfill a request that may not be exactly something you might write and under a shorter period of time so that person who did not receive a fic will get something.
I will stress again that it would be appreciated if you only sign up if you KNOW you will be able to write something back. It's only fair.
Sound ok? And anything else? :3

I was thinking (and that's only a suggestion) more along the lines of :
Name:
E-mail(so I can contact you about who you will be writing for):
Requests(2-3 choices, please):
pairings/characters (2,3 choices, please) :
specific prompts/kinks/plot ideas:
Squicks (things you DON'T want to read):
Will write:

Squicks (things you DON'T want to write):
something more formatted, you know. But maybe more free guidelines would work better.
the thing for the pitch writers sounds good !
Oh you could also put a line about encouraging people to look at their giftee's people tastes on their LJ to write something they like.
Oh, and you write people can post when they're finished, that means that people "know" who wrote what as soon as they write it ? I might be more fun to have them send their fics to you (or me) and we post the fics anonymously, with a reveal of who wrote what coming later on once every fics are posted ?
Okay, I'm out of ideas.

Looking good?

Excellent idea! That's now been scribbled down. ;3

I like this idea! Ok, let's go with this since it seems like more fun. :D

How do you want me to help ? ^^

Date: 10 May 2006 06:01 pm (UTC)As for help? Reminder posts to get in their requests and then a bi-weekly reminder to do them? It should last all summer or half way through summer and then another fic exchange can be started sometime in July. Depends on their speed at doing the requests. And, er, your e-mail address for them to send requests? Well, that is if you like to post them when they need to be? I guess they could e-mail both of us so we both have copies of what they send...*ponders*

Motivation is nothing if you can't do anything with it.
