1/ Fool for Love, err, does the whole episode count ? I could pick my three favourite scenes from that episode alone... Okay, the China part and the slo-mo when the Fearsome Foursome walks through the city on fire and also the shagging Dru after killing the slayer. ♥ but now my hearts bleed from not mentionning punk!Spike.
2/ Lover's Walk, especially the part when Spike is crying piteously to Willow then threatening her 'if you don't succeed then I'll kill him and you'll try again' XD oooh and the chocolate with marshemalow talk with Joyce, and the taunting Angel and the... okay, I'll be quiet now.
3/ The "No, not the hair ! Never the hair !" "Say no more! Evil's still out and I'm almost out of that nancy-hair gel I like so much ! Quickly to the Angelmobile" monologue from Into the Dark because, dude.
*sighs* I'd forgotten how much I loved that character and how rabid I was about that show...

I almost only read manga myself, it's rare that I prefer the anime adaptation over the manga . Well, there's Utena.

A) I just understood Utena herself (I am completely like that with my friends)
B) the opening sequence
C) duels rock
Actually it was only the very last story-arc that threw me. The finale just did my head in. I loved it, but didn't completely understand it.

the duels are cool, but I love the whole symbolical feast of it ! and the mindfucks, incest, and very twisted outlook at people's relationships. Oh, and the fucked up fairy tales aspect.
Utena works on a thematic and symbolical plan. Sometimes trying to make it work in a pure sequential / logical way doesn't make sense. You have to think about what things mean, what they stand for. IMHO.
