More Snupin Santa recs !
A Sea Change by Way of A River (NC-17)
(no summary provided)
Given how purely romantic this story was, I was a bit surprised by how much I enjoyed it. But I did. It's really adorable. Remus' son Sijay is a cute not-annoying baby, Severus as his baby-sitter is very amusing. Severus is characterized as more de contracted than I usually like, but seeing him being relatively... ordinary definitely had a lot of appeal here. Lots of fun details galore and finish to make this story utterly charming. A long, sweet, and funny story to enjoy.
Home for the Holidays (R)
Post-war fic in which Snape has disappeared from the wizarding world and Lupin runs into him years later. I'll leave it to the author to decide where Snape has been and why. Lupin persuades Snape to go for a quick drink and they end up talking about a time during the war when they thought they were going to die and Snape kissed Lupin. Lupin wants to know why...
An intense, lovely read. The work done into the background and the setting is awesome, both with secondary characters and little details, and you can really believe in the reality of this world. The characterisation is very good as well, letting us feel the hard weight of the war onto both Snape and Remus's psyche. The scene of sex is simply beautiful. I think this is another of my favourite fic of the fest so far :)
Carthage (PG-13)

Hurt/Comfort at its best. The work in rendering Snape's feeling of loneliness is acutely good and deeply touching. The writing style is beautiful, simple and elegant.
Of Sophists and Their Asses (PG-13)
an old relative of Remus dies. The man was a Potion master or something similar, and Remus inherits a chest or something else involving potions or potions' recipes or ingredients... Remus has to go and fetch it in another country, and asks for Severus to go with him, as an expert...
A longish, terrific humorous fanfic. The geek in me loved the little references. The interaction between Remus and Severus is very enjoyable full of banter and bite. Severus is a thorough jerk in this, and I love him for it.
Spy's Challenge (NC-17)
There were a lot of things a young man could do with his anger. He could shove it under a rock and never think about it again; he could let it fester and rot inside him until it consumed every cell in his body; or – and really, this was the good one – he could take it out on the first person he thought deserved it.
If you like hate sex, run, do not walk, do not pause at the starting box to collect 10 boxes, to read this fic. It is pure, tasty, juicy, wonderful, concentrated angry, nasty, hateful sex. I adore that the writer was able to render Remus' anger post 1st war so believable and so intensely, and Snape's own answering nastiness was delightful. The sex is extremely hot. The writing is simply beautiful, almost poetic though not overdone. This is fic is another personal favourite of mine (though it probably won't be to the taste of everyone)
