I'm starting to sense a pattern with my reaction to exchange fics : I'm procrastinating intensely until I'm late, feeling totally uninspired and cursing my ever having gotten the idea to sign up for something. Then when I'm backed up against the wall of the deadline I'm surprised to find out it's not so difficult to write and I'm cursing my waiting so long before starting because I could have made it so much better otherwise... and when I'm finished I'm so relieved and happy about it I can't wait to sign up for another exchange! (someone please stop me, I beg you.

Anyway I'd rather really focus on stories I want to finish before DH right now (unlikely as that is). I probably need to list up stories I want to write (oh boy, the thousand bunnies) and prioritize them, or something. *sighs* I wish JKR could have been slower *mumbles-curses*)

I think I need to update my writing filter. I don't use it often so no worries, but that way when I post an entry rambling about my frustrations with writing something (or more likely, not writing it) I don't bother the people who don't care about that.

heh, is it a particulary evil prompt, lack of time, or plain lack of inspiration?
I really find being able to talk about them to someone, even shortly, helps when I'm stuck ^^

It's mostly lack of time. I love the prompt (but it's an anonymous exchange, so I can't say anything else about it) but my thesis is eating my brain. There are two weeks between the deadline for my thesis and the one for my exchange, though, so I think I can do it...
