mnemosyne_1 I hope you've got a great day ♥ ♥
Name one character from any fandom I know and I will give you three (hopefully) facts about them from my personal canon.
Fandoms include: Harry Potter, ASIOAF, Coldfire, Utena, Clamp-doms, and you can try me for other stuff you know I like and follow.

Date: 24 May 2007 02:01 pm (UTC)2/ If Regulus hadn't been killed by Voldemort, he'd likely never have turned coat against Voldemort. It's not that he loved Regulus that much - they were hardly even friends though occasionnaly allied. It's that Regulus was so helpless and such a non threat, and that he still decided to oppose the Dark Lord.
3/ Sometimes he thinks the Black family have been made to be his own personnal curse. When Tonks started dating Remus he knew it. It was the only remaining Black spawn who hadn't found yet a way to make his life more complicated.

Date: 24 May 2007 02:28 pm (UTC)2/ He's always hated Tyrion, even before the Blackwater and before the little bird's got married to him. He's not telling why, but he's got a good reason.
3/ He actually liked Joffrey, at some point, with a kind of strange pride for his viciousness. When he realized he couldn't stand the brat anymore was a bit of the beginning of the end.

Date: 24 May 2007 04:24 pm (UTC)2 - Isn't this canon? He did say he should have killed Tyrion "years ago."
3 - That fits. I love his "When I was your age" line to Robb when he was defending Joffrey at Winterfell.

Date: 24 May 2007 04:26 pm (UTC)2- well, yes, but noone ever seems to be commenting on it and it always intrigued me XD

Date: 24 May 2007 05:38 pm (UTC)I think it's rarely talked about because some Tyrion fans like to believe that he is white rather than grey. The only awful thing Tyrion did before the start of the series that we know of was participate in the gangrape of Tysha. I can see Sandor having no respect for a man who would do that to his own wife, but unless Sandor somehow knew Tysha personally, I don't think he'd care enough to hate Tyrion for it. So what ever could Tyrion have done that would cause Sandor to hate him? I suspect we'll find out by the end of the series.

Date: 24 May 2007 02:48 pm (UTC)I had this idea way before Clamp got Tomoyo and Nokoru to stand in the same room and be childhood friends during Tsubasa, btw. I hate when canon steals my WTF-ships.
2/ Seishirou's Tomoyo's father. This is curtesy of a great fic
3/ Tomoyo writes fanfics about her friends, especially, but not only, about Sakura. Ruby Moon discovered it, and since that they started trading story ideas and fics. Needless to say, they're full of porn.

3) Now I'm wondering the kind of Doogie Howser fic Willow used to write. ^^; I'm sure Ruby Moon writes Touya slash though.

Date: 24 May 2007 03:08 pm (UTC)1/ Yuuko taught Clow a lot of what he knows, back when he was just a young prodigy wizard who angsted about his double heritage. Those were the days. His and Watanuki's are the best cooking she ever had.
2/ Sometimes it fucking hurts to have to remain neutral and fair about her business. On the other hand, sometimes it's really a pleasure.
3/ There's a lot of immortals - the human kinds, like her - out there, most of them are real bores that she can't stand them. She's the oldest of them.
no subject
Date: 24 May 2007 03:32 pm (UTC)You know, I've seen so many people who think Yuuko is older than Clow that I might end up convincing myself of that... My gut reaction is that Clow was the older one, but when I think about it there's no canon to support either version (yet?). Hmmm.

Date: 24 May 2007 03:36 pm (UTC)I think it's because Clow died, but Yuuko... she's the Witch of the Dimensions. She hasn't aged since she knew Clow. When was that? So I kinda see her as very very old. And not aging.

Date: 24 May 2007 03:50 pm (UTC)Oh, I definitely agree about that! Also, in volume 2, the old fortuneteller also tells her "You haven't changed at all" in a very suspicious way.
I guess I'm just used to seeing Clow as ridiculously old, too. Or maybe Yuuko gives a "younger" impression because she seems to change with the times (she's big on pop-culture) and he's so... old-fashioned. ^_^

Date: 24 May 2007 04:28 pm (UTC)... now I want to compare Yuuko and Methos. Help please!

Date: 24 May 2007 04:55 pm (UTC)Ahaha, I know very little about Highlander and I still think that Yuuko and Methos would be worth seeing. XD

Date: 24 May 2007 06:04 pm (UTC)The fun thing about Yuuko is you can crossover her with anything.

Date: 24 May 2007 04:04 pm (UTC)1/ Damien got into the Church because it meant doing something, concretely, to improve stuff. He sometimes finds it ironic that the Church's values means they're not able to do things immediatly, in the way Pagan faiths are efficient. That's why he jumped on the occasion to do sorcery when the Matriarchy opened up to it - and later to bring it to the East. He can't stand to be powerless in the face of suffering.
2/ He discovered the Prophet's writings when he was a young teenager, it was love at first sight. He read obsessively, talked to Priests. His parents never did understood his faith. At fifteen, he would fall asleep head full of imaginary discussions with the Prophet. Funny how things went. He never did got around to ask those questions.
3/ Sometimes he wakes up in the middle of the night, from a faint, hazy nightmare which tells him some ties never close fully. It's a bittersweet pain, all the more for the fact that he cannot put a name on it. He's not without vanity either, and, if allowed, he would be terribly proud of what he did to redeem the Hunter. But the Hunter is dead, and Tarrant is no more. So that vanity too, went away in sacrifice.
It was, he thinks, certainly worth it.

Nodding. He strongly believe in righting wrongs, both in the abstract and in concrete terms…
I love the wistfulness of #2. Damien very much reminds me of Giles in this sense.

Date: 24 May 2007 05:46 pm (UTC)Miho is the female twin of Xelloss1/ She's not really evil. Well, she is. But she was just drawn that way. She has no choice about it.
2/ She plays all the games and she plays all of them great. She walks, and that's a game. She talks, and that's a game. She's being bullied by the other schoolgirl, and that's a game. She plays the action game, and the romance game, and always, the mindgames. There's nothing she can do that would not be a game. On one level she's just a disturbed schoolgirl. On another level she's an undead creature. All the levels are part of the game, of course. Reality is a game too.
She always wins.
3/ Ping is just like her in a way, except of course, for all the difference. And because Ping isn't there to win. There's something about it, about Ping, that makes Miho yearns for something.
But even if she can win at all the games, she can never win against the game itself.

Date: 4 June 2007 09:00 pm (UTC)1/ There are many kinds of pleasure. Some simple matter of flesh, of sensation, of existence, some complex and ineffable flexion of paradoxes and contradictons. Some deep like the sound of the waves, some heavy like the weight of sunlight, some quiet like the caress of hand, or intense like the tearing of skin. For a Iezu, self-awareness comes from the exploration of the boundaries that confine them. Here I am. Here I feed. Here I die. Karril's quest went lengthly, tasting every tastes, common and odd. In the end, he was named and embodied to the uncanny delight of curious hunger and thirst for knowledge.
Friendship was never named a pleasure.
2/ Karril knows too much about the extasy of denial to wonder why they are some things that Gerald and Damien keep secret. It doesn't stop him/her, however, from being annoyed by it. You'd think they deliberatly try not to feed a Iezu.
3/ Someday, once the family experience is over, he/she'll go and do something about it. There's much fun to be expected in the endeavour.

Date: 25 May 2007 03:59 pm (UTC)Kozue from Revolutionary Girl Utena.
Sakurazuka Seishirō from Tokyo Babylon/x1999
Drusilla from Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Kozue
Date: 5 June 2007 10:02 am (UTC)It's just a dream, though. She's not about music, that's her brother.
2/ Up until when she was 10 year old, Kozue was extremely shy. She hated when people were looking at her. Her brother was the one who talked the the adults invited by their parents. The good, polite boy they showed off and who smiled and greeted back (Ooooh! Aaaah! How smart he is! How cute!). Kozue would hide more often than not during that time, or stand silently in her brother's shadow, glaring at the tall silhouettes overshadowing them.
3/ She stopped being shy when she discovered sex. A boy - not even one that had liked her - had wanted something from her (the games of children, exchanging a look at the content of their underwears). Suddenly there were a world of power - desire and flesh and namelessness - that she could understand. This, she knew. This she could play (skin against skin in the music room and only she can listen to the masterful symphonies she makes).
It amuses her, too. The boys and their toys, how they looked at her, all the Tougas of the world. They thought her a doll, at first. They didn't realize two could play the game. They didn't realize she was a predator, too.

Date: 2 July 2007 04:51 pm (UTC)2- He keeps a bonzai in his appartment. It amuses him, like a mise en abyme. I keep a tree that keeps me who keeps a tree. It's torture and balance and perfection all in one tiny vegetal practice.
Later, he thinks to Subaru as his bonzai tree. Little cuts and deft touch to make him grow the way he wants.
3- ... err, to be continued.
