New version of the meme stolen from [livejournal.com profile] lodessa

Pick a fandom you know I know about, and I’ll tell you:

I've done this already...probably more than once. It's time for a different list:
1. The character most likely to fall in love with the wrong person
2. The character whom I'm embarrassed to admit I adore
3. The character that would send me screaming in the opposite direction IRL despite being fascinating in fiction.
4. The character with the most annoying personality quirks
5. The character I most admire and why
6. The character with the worst temper
7. The character most likely to fail at everything
8. The pairings I prefer in canon
9. The pairings I prefer in fanon
10. The character with the most personal growth in canon

(that was my post with the previous version of the meme)

1. Jaime (which was lodessa's answer, I know, but kinda obvious)
2. Theon, the little sexist jerk that he is. Still fond of him
3. Sandor ^_^
4. Stannis. Even more than any of the character to overuse signature lines
5. Davos, because he's trying to do good while being humble and honest, because he's so far the character best at juggling with too many opposing loyalties and moral imperatives, and oaths.
6. Cersei, Viserys, Joffrey and Aerys are all great contender. Oh, and Robert. I think I'll give this one to Viserys' for sheer idiocy.
7. Theon, the poor boy.
8. How canon would one consider Sandor/Sansa to be? If not canon enough, Oberyn/Elarya
9. Sandor/Sansa :D if they were canon, Gendry/Arya
10. Jaime, duh.

How canon would one consider Sandor/Sansa to be?

That requires a thorough examination of Sansa's mental state. If he never kissed her but she thinks he did, does it count as a kiss? :P

Theon, the little sexist jerk that he is. Still fond of him

I feel about Theon the same way I feel/felt about Draco Malfoy. I don't dislike them, but I like them best when very bad things are happening to them. :D

I don't think I'd like Theon if bad things didn't happen to him, but those bad things still make me feel sorry for him instead of rejoycing. Hmmm. I guess I'm just not into shaddenfraude(sp?)

I think i'll be happy when bad things happen to Littlefinguer, though, although I'm also happy when he succeeds provided he fails eventually. I'm not sure I make sense.

1. Snape ^_^
2. Gileroy Lockhart I guess
3. Well, I think I would scream at Snape rather than run screaming in the opposite direction so that doesn't count. Narcissa I guess. Or Bellatrix. Okay, definitly Bellatrix
4. Hermione. Know it all-ness. I should know it's annoying 'cuz I'm one.
5. Errr Is there any character in admire in HP?
6. Sirius
7. Sybil Trelawney >_>;;
8. Lucius/Narcissa, Ted/Andromeda, Rodolphus/Bellatrix
9. Sirius/Snape, Remus/Snape, Sirius/Regulus
10. Harry

1. Errr, Buffy.
2. Ethan Raynes, except for the part about being embarrassed
3. Spike
4. Buffy
5. Tara's the one behaving the most graceful through out
6. Faith
7. Jonathan
8. Spike/Drusilla, Buffy/Spike in most of S6
9. Ethan/Giles
10. Not sure... lots of change all around but not always for the best. Anya or Cordelia.

I didn't hate season 7 as much as everyone else because I watched it later and no amount of suck could live up to my lowered expectations from people's hating.

that does help.

Funny at the time I remember lots of people loving it. Mostly the S6 haters of course, and I was a S6 lover ^^

Everyone I knew was a season 7 hater (of course half of them were also season 6 haters as well).

Season 7 is less than compelling a lot of the time and Kennedy was every bit annoying as promised and Xander's pirateness was sort of silly but there was good stuff in there and Faith came back and Chosen was a great finale.

Chosen was all right. So were the first 7 or so episodes. I think what I found worse was the Big Bad. One needs a good villain to drive a good plot and the First Evil has to be the most boring villain ever.

I felt like it was more the relationship dynamics or lack thereof that was the problem. It was very anticlimactic after what had come before.

1. Subaru ^_^
2. I'm not sure I'm embarrassed about any of them... Yuuto?
3. Well, Seishirou
4. Seishirou is very quirly, but not annoying. Sorata, but it's likewise endearing...
5. Hokuto, for sacrificing herself in a hopeful way, without hating Seishirou
6. Daisuke >_>;;
7. The character most likely to fail at everything
8. Seishirou/Subaru
9. Seishirou/Tohru, Fuuma/Subaru
10. Subaru, also it's more destruction than growth

Is this the series with a young teenage boy who fights the supernatural and has a sister, and his "friend" the adult man who's secretly working for the other side? It sounds like an anime series my sister made me watch with her.

what you describe definitly sounds like Tokyo Babylon, however it's not a Tv series. It's a manga, and there's two OAV movies - I supposed that's what you might have seen. X, which is sort of a sequel to TB, does have both a manga and an animated series (the series has an ending, the manga doesn't), and also a movie. Anyway, I must second the reccomendation of TB, it's a great manga, and the Seishirou/Subaru ship is delightful in its wrongness. Mindfuck at its best.

bearing with the fact I haven't read it in 10 years...

1. The character most likely to fall in love with the wrong person: Eowyn
2. The character whom I'm embarrassed to admit I adore: I faintly remember that I totally adored Grima ^_^ Also, for the movie canon, I find the Balrog terribly, terribly hot - no pun intended.
3. The character that would send me screaming in the opposite direction IRL despite being fascinating in fiction: Still Grima
4. The character with the most annoying personality quirks: Gandalf. Too much fireworks.
5. The character I most admire and why: I guess Sam, for the usual reasons of down to earth bravery and faithfulness. And Faramir quite a bit as well.
6. The character with the worst temper: Denethor
7. The character most likely to fail at everything: Gollum
8. The pairings I prefer in canon: Faramir/Eowyn
9. The pairings I prefer in fanon: Legolas/Gimli, Pippin/Merry
10. The character with the most personal growth in canon: Frodo, I really loved the how the return to the shire chapters highlighted that.

1. So many contenders... Anthy gets the palm
2. Saionji!
3. Saionji... Touga, too but I'm not so much fascinated by him. Oh, and Mikage.
4. Utena. Doing gymnastic while having a conversation isn't very endearing
5. Admire? Hmmm... Ruka, maybe, for sheer insane ruthless love
6. Nanami
7. Nanami and Saionji are both specialist of that
8. Akio/Anthy, Ruka/Juri, Juri/Shiori, Kozue/Everyone
9. Saionji/Touga
10. Anthy, Saionji, Nanami... all change a great deal.
