12. What are my five least favorite things about the fandom. It's so wanky, sometimes in an annoying way. You can never follow or participate to everything. Lots of silly fanon. Too many BNF-ing sometimes. Sometimes it's too focused on shipping.

With Sirius/Remus it's mostly the fault of fandom. I could see myself liking it (I sometimes do, when well written by writers I like), but the fanon for this pairing is that of a One True Love which I find ridiculous. I also often dislike the fanon characterization of them. And... I got annoyed by the people who were writing it as if it was canon, often as a background pairing without any warning.
The thing is, I cannot see Sirius being in love with Remus. My fanon!Sirius is in love with James for most of his teenagehood, and after Azkaban he's too damaged to have a real romantic relationship... even there, probably not with Remus. He loves Remus like a brother, but Remus has a very private personnality, he's very much in control and not showing his feelings and that's something Sirius doesn't understand and even distrusts (see thinking Remus was a traitor during the war). I usually see Remus having a crush on Sirius (who didn't?) at school but he gets over it quickly enough. So friends with benefits, yes. One true love, nah.

With Draco/Ginny, I've got a prejudices against this pairing, I see it as the kind of pairing which destroy both the character's personnality by trying to be redemptive through lurve or something like this. I may be totally wrong and actually the pairing could rock ^_^ I admit I never read it.

I feel really bad for liking Jon sometimes because it is so terribly uncool. But I do anyway. And I unrepentantly ship him with anyone and everyone but especially his half-siblings.

Also I sort of resent that Sansa/Sandor is so popular it feels like the kind of canon pairing I hate when by all rights it should not and it is not the ship but the shippers that bothers me.

Yeah, I guess half the fandom loves Jon, and half of it dislike Jon because of that love XD but I don't dislike Jon, I even like him on a good day ^^ I just don't fangirl him like some do. I do love some Jon pairings, mostly Jon/Theon, and I like Jon/Robb too. And I liked the canon Jon/Ygritte too.


I totally understand what you mean about Sandor/Sansa, it's the exactly the kind of pairing I would hate any other day, but there's something in the way GRRM wrote it that made me fall in love with it right when I was reading CoK. Every popular pairings get annoying if you're not into them, and shippers always can be annoying. So... yeah. ^^

I love Jon/Robb a lot. Also future Jon/Sansa because there is a lot of interesting conflict inherent there. Also I enjoyed the canon shipping too.

Because he was so full of hypocrisy and doing things like telling Buffy Willow said to kick Angel's ass instead of about the spell. After the awkwardness of season 4 he really mellowed out and stopped trying to control Buffy and Willow's lives.

I liked Dawn, too (Especially when you consider how lame her introduction could have been).

Jerk-move though it was(and I don't understand why it never came back to bite him), I can sort of see WHY Xander fibbed to Buffy. If she had thought there was hope of the spell working, she would have held back during the fight. Buffy was a dear, but a bit of an idiot when it came to anything Angel.

See that's the thing though.... that isn't why he did it as far as I can tell. He did it because he didn't like and was jealous of Angel. There is definitely something to be said for not telling Buffy their plan, but he didn't do that... he LIED ABOUT IT and used Willow to do so.

Utena is totally one of my fandoms!

1. The first character I fell in love with: weirdly enough, Tsuwabuki. It took me a while to warm up to the ensemble cast of Utena, and Tsuwabuki was one of the first I liked early on.
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Anthy. I kinda disliked her at first. Little did I know.
3. The character everyone else loves that I don’t: I'm not crazy about Touya and Akio, although Touya is making a good job at warming himself to me. Maybe in another 5 years, I'll actually like him.
4. The character I love that everyone else hates: I do like Shiori, and she seems the most despised in this fandom.

Actually I'm more of a fandom serial monogamist. But I shift fandoms every now and then, and it's been a long time since i started ^^ oh, and there's always a few fandoms I get on the side I guess ^^
