Favourite characters:
I'm terribly in love with Toph. I've found Iroh awesome since his first appearance. Zuko grew on me stubbornly through two seasons until I had to admit I was fond of him.

Romantic ship:
For the show by itself, I have very little shipper interest. I find the idea of Azula/Zuko interesting because that's just the kind of mindfuck incest I like. I'm also vaguely intrigued by Toph/Zuko. Mai/Zuko is growing on me with the reading of fics, helped by the fact it was hilarious in canon. And both Jet/Zuko and Roku/Sozin are awesome to read in fics.
Mostly, the whole Kataang - Zutara - Tokka - Taang - Sokka/the ladies are boring me to tears, otherwise anything goes, so I'm thinking of making this my gen and rare pairings only fandom.

Pretty much everything here is awesome. (But then, I don't think there's a single ship in Utena I don't heartily approve of. It's just that awesome.) I like Utena/Anthy as a couple, but I can also really get into Utena as a spiritual hermaphrodite complete unto herself and really only liking Anthy as a friend.

However, Miki/Kozue is scarier platonic than it is sexual. Kozue's all like RAEP and stuff. Maybe, I dunno, if she were in a coma or something it might work. (It's my pet theory that the Anthy/Akio incest was sending out vibes that made all sisters want to fuck their big brothers.)

Favourite Characters
Sorata and Arashi are my two favourite characters, for wildly different reasons. Hokuto rocks. Deeply. I also adore Karen, Yuzuriha, Satsuki & Yuuto.
Seishirou and Subaru are two of my obsessions, of course, but much as I like them together, I don't feel they stand alone, so I don't usually count them as favourite characters ^_^

I was going to gack this meme for my journal, when I realized I'm such a shipping whore I'd end up typing out every permutation of every primary, secondary and tertiary character's names, including pairings, threesomes, foursomes, moresomes and orgies, so I might as well just get "WHORE" stamped on my forehead and save myself the trouble.

Actually, the platonic list would be twice as long. There are just certain things that even I have difficulty shipping sexually (like Iroh/Toph or Sokka/Katara) that are made of pure win and awesome when platonic. And just about everything I ship sexually I ship platonically too.

Zuko/Mai was the first Avatar ship where I went, "Hey, that's...not horrible. In fact, I think I--OMG GIMME MOAR NAO!!11" It was my gateway ship. From there, I realized every possible permutation of Ozai's Angels (with or without Zuko) led to pure sex. Sokka/Suki and Sokka/Yue both appeal to me, and I've found they're even better when both in the same fic. I love the idea of loving two different people for two different reasons, and the experience making both loves stronger rather than one cheapening the other. (Although, I have to admit there's an extra-special place in my heart for Sokka/Yue.) I have a liking for Haru/Katara. Roku/Sozin is of course trufax. And a friend of mine is slowly convincing me on Zuko/Aang, although both of us are having a hard time shipping current-age!Aang, so mostly it's aged-up, platonic, or both for me on that ship.

Then there's the crack. Foamy/everyone. Azula/everyone. Azula/Foamy. Pretty much anything you can spin a good yarn with.

Platonic I like everything under the sun, because I adore every single character, and there's just so many awesome possibilities with their interactions that have nothing to do with sex. Even in a shipping fic, I think the platonic relationships should be important. I mostly don't like Zutara, but there are some Zutara fics I've read that I thought could have been very good, if not for the fact that everyone not named Zuko or Katara seemed to drop off the face of the earth. I actually find this to be the problem with many shipping fics in many fandoms, forgetting about the ties characters have to each other, and just zooming in on a romance.

I loved the ensemble dynamic, but was more fond of the secondary characters. Faith and Spike were especially favourite, so was Dawn, Anya, Cordelia... and Ethan ♥. And Dru! The Mayor and Glory were also excellent vilains. I remember liking Willow once upon a time.

Romantic ships
I loved Buffy/Spike during the season 5 and season 6. Also liked Spike/Drusilla, and Spike/Angel(us) (which I shipped before it was cool and when Xander/Spike was all the hype). Giles/Ethan is one of the rare pairing I'll still read. Buffy/Faith is always fun (so is Spike/Faith).
I never read any Faith/Wood, but I also liked it on the show.
I had once a weakness for Angelus/Xander fic; I think that's when I discovered I liked darkfics so much.
