fics stats, no really
19 Feb 2008 05:10 pmI've streamlined my tagging system over at
la_mer_allee (and uploaded the oldest fics that weren't there yet, too), following onto
schemingreader's discussion over there. It was probably overkill since I already have a masterlist but heh ^^
It made me want to do stats with my fics ^_^ (Obviously I'm a dork)
I've written a total of 75 fics (counting drabbles and wips because otherwise the number would be miserable and it would make me sad)
Per fandoms:
- TB/X : 38 (51%)
- HP : 24 (32%)
- ASOIAF : 4
- Utena : 3
- Avatar : 2
- Coldfire : 2
- BtVS: 2
Per slash/het/gen
- Slash (both type) : 38 (51%)
- Maleslash : 30 (40%)
- Gen : 27 (36%)
- Het : 15 (20%)
- Femslash : 8 (11%)
(total superior to number of fic because fics may have several pairings)
I write much more gen than I thought ^_^ I ought to write more femslash
Per pairings
- Seishirou/Subaru : 13 (27% of non gen fics)
- Snape/Lupin : 4
- Bellatrix/Andromeda : 2
- Kamui/Subaru : 2
- Fuuma/Kamui : 2
- Buffy/Spike : 2
- Others (pairing written only once): 28
(total superior to number of fic because fics may have several pairings)
Wow, I guess I'm really not kidding when I say Seishirou/Subaru is my ultimate OTP O_o I hadn't realised I had written so few Snupin fics, and only one Sirius/Regulus.
Lots of the odd pairing fics are because of the number of drabble by prompts fics
(people like asking odd things for those) and exchanges fic, but still. I like diversifying myself apparently.
Per characters
- Seishirou : 20 (27%)
- Subaru : 16 (21%)
- Remus : 9 (12%)
- Hokuto : 8 (11%)
- Snape : 8 (11%)
- Kamui : 7 (9%)
- Sirius : 6
- Andromeda : 5
- Fuuma : 5
- Karen : 5
- Regulus : 5
- Bellatrix : 4
- Setsuka : 4
- Kotori : 3
- Narcissa : 3
- Percy : 3
- Peter : 3
- Satsuki : 3
- Akio : 2
- Azula : 2
- Buffy : 2
- Damien : 2
- Nataku : 2
- OC : 2
- Sorata : 2
- Spike : 2
- Yuuto : 2
- Zuko : 2
- Others (characters written only once) : 35
Logical given the pairing fics, with a few characters boosted by gen fics. Again I'm much more diverse than I thought I was (then again some of these fics only show up in quick mentions ^^)
Per kinks/warnings/sex acts
- Mythology/Fairytales : 16
- Non graphic sex : 15 (sex happens, but the specifics aren't described)
- Deathfics (major characters dying): 13 (a number of those are canonical death though)
> Among which the character is killed by the SO of the main pairing : 8
- Mindfuck/Lies : 10
- Graphic sex : 9 (sex happens, and we know which bits got involved with which bits)
- Dub con : 5
- Oral sex : 5 (m/m and f/f why don't the straight folk get any oral sex?)
- Handjob : 3 (m/m and f/f ditto above)
- Incest : 8 (one is implied parent/child quasi-incest, all the others are siblingcest)
- Non con : 2 (Draco and Sirius)
- Masturbation : 2 (Percy and Regulus)
- Necrophilia : 2 (both implied, and Seishirou's the guilty one in both cases)
- D/s : 1 (Percy)
- Bondage : 1 (Remus)
- Candleplay : 1 (Azula)
- Bloodplay : 1 (Bellatrix)
- MPreg : 1 (Seishirou ^^)
- Chan : 1 (Regulus)
- Anal sex : 1 (!) (Renly/Loras)
- Penivaginal intercourse : 0 (!! - I need to get more graphic with the straight folks)
No big surprise... quite kinky, but not that much is graphic. Very little intercourse of either kinds. Oh, and I guess I should stop saying that I'm not really into incest fics >_>;
Per tense
- Past tense : 46 (61%)
- Present tense : 36 (48%)
(yeap I have fics with both passages in present and past tense)
I abuse this poor Present Tense way, way too much. One of the main thing I must learn not to do.
Per PoV
- Third person restricted : 66 (88%)
- Third person not quite restricted : 5 (I'm not sure I can call any of them omniscient either ^^;)
- First person : 4
I think I'd like to experiment with first tense a bit more. Also I need to actually manage to know what I'm doing when I'm using a non restricted third person...
That's all i can think of statisticating.

Date: 19 February 2008 06:24 pm (UTC)I'm only mellow about percentages, what I love most of categorization and typologies. TV Tropes media was especially mesmerizing to me.

Date: 19 February 2008 07:26 pm (UTC)well I seldom do spread (I love the tarot more as analytical tool than for prediction, ya know)... but I guess dark things at least means working through something. Might not be an easy passage, but it's not necessarly a dead end.

Date: 19 February 2008 07:29 pm (UTC)Of was just weird because it was all this blocked energy stuff and then the suggestion card was Temperance, which is so not a getting out of anything card.
no subject
Date: 19 February 2008 07:40 pm (UTC)Hmmm I tend to see Temperance as positive. It might mean the necessity for compromise, something like this?
