Name one of my fandoms, and I'll tell you,if I knew those fictional characters in real life...
1. Who would I want to date, if I could make life work out just the way I wanted it to?
2. Who would I actually end up dating?
3. Who would I have a massive, inadvisable crush on that never came to anything?
4. Who would I have a massive, reasonable crush on that never came to anything?
5. Who would I bicker with for weeks, months, years...until I ended up trapped in an elevator/locked in a walk in refrigerator/stranded on a barren moon together, and then I'd fall hard?
6. Who would I do my damndest not to fall for?
7. Who would I probably only be able to be friends with, even if all things considered s/he is perfect for me?
You know it's nice of LJ to remind me why I don't trust them and don't want to give them money just when I was feeling tempted to buy myself more icon space... >_>;;

Date: 14 March 2008 03:51 am (UTC)I'm with you on Mandor and Random (only my additional inadvisable crushes would be Julian and Bleys; and I haven't quite figured out whether Luke would be reasonable or inadvisable... not as bad as the others, but still...)

Heh. So true!
So, from the high concentration of Second Chronicles characters, should I assume that you actually like the Merlin books? (I liked certain parts of them quite a lot -- king!Random, Luke and his interaction with Merlin, Mandor, Pattern ghosts -- but was rather disappointed by the whole experience, as compared to how much I loved the first 5 books...)

Date: 14 March 2008 07:37 pm (UTC)Bleys' totally hot too (especially for a one night stand kind of deal) but I'm afraid I never warmed up much to Julian. Luke... well he's a sneaky one. Seen from Merle's perspective, no. But on the other hand I do like the sneaky, manipulative ones on occasion ^^

Yeap! I did like 'em. Sure they're not as good as the first cycle, and they have this frustrating non-ending, but they were still good enough for my taste. I liked the widening of the universe and Merle's weird sense of humour, and Mandor, and Frakir (or however that strangling thing is called), and Jurt and in general having a different PoV on everyone, you know?
