Hum, haven't been updating for a couple of days...

so first,

happy birthday shineko :)

Finished reading Paladins of Soul by Lois McMaster Bujold yesterday. Nice book. very good metaphysics about demons and gods, gave it a nice medieval feel without feeling cliched or anything. Great female main character, but then I always applaud an author who manage to have a fourty something non fighter woman as main character and makes it work, you know. Ista did remind me a lot of Ekaterin in her way of thinking, thought. All in all, pretty nice, but not Bujold's greatest book.

I wanted to see something different as movie goes, so I went with Isabelle to see an Indian movie. 3 hours and half long, but it was enjoyable. Pure Bollywood kitsch, but I didn't see the time go. Beautiful music and dancing.


Isabelle lent me Zetsuai, a yaoi manga that wasn't that good. I didn't like the art either, which didn't help, and no true end.

On the other hand, there were a lot of new mangas at the store I read with glee... Especially the third volume of Lawful Drugs, which I hadn't yet read, which got me to squealed. Was the best one... what a shame there's nothing new going out for this serie :'(
There were also the lattest Alice 19th, which makes me think that, yeah, Ayashi No Ceres might be the only real good stuff Yuu Watase had done, the second volume of Princess Kagura, which keeps on being as good as the first, looks like an excellent serie, the lattest Hana Yori Dango, which is still one of the best classic shojo stuff out there, and the 3rd tome of DNAngel, as cute as ever.

There's especially lots of Korean Manwha going out at the moment.

Island, was the first of them. Dark horror about an Island where all sorts of demons haunt. Excellent characters, very cynical and gorey.

Audition is a wacky manwha about trying to form a music band out of four boys who are either genius, or idiots (and probably both). It's quite crazy and very funny.

I. N. V. U is a classic highschool romance story, but very well done. The characters are especially interesting and non stereotypical.

Model is a vampire story. I enjoy the stubborn heroine and the gorgeous art, even if I'm not big into gothic stories. Actually, this one really seems interesting.

There's also Tarot Cafe, which reminded me of XXXholic, in a good way.

And then there's a few manwha which are quite less good ^_^
