... which one?

I wonder if it's tied to the music files I just uploaded for you. At least it's the most recent thing I've done with that address. Is yousendit known for wonky things like this?

One of my other friends (spiderine) mentioned the exact same thing in a post this morning. What email service do you use?

free.fr, which is a french e mail service... right after I uploaded something on yousendit using that address, I wonder if that's the cause.

It likely means some jerk decided to spam several thousand people using your e-mail as the return address.

I don't know what to do about it (never got around to researching it), but it will probably go away in a day or two. (It's happened to me a couple times over the past couple years.)

When, relative to the timing of your posting in favor of the fandom candidates for the LJ Advisory Board, did those spam emails start showing up? Someone else on my flist who took the fandom side of the LJ elections started getting spam emails shortly after they posted about it. I don't think this is a coincidence.

Oh, that's possible. Although this is not my e mail address usually associated with LJ. Mmmm.
