Date: 23 July 2008 09:41 pm (UTC)I don't actually know if you know this fandom or not, but the story is so tenuously related to the movie anyway that I don't think you really have to know the original to understand it (and I've tried to include some explanation for the bits that are significant). And I think it's pretty damn awesome, with bitter, angsty, cynical, snarky, gay medieval kings of England and France :)
