Strangely, five years doesn't seem such a long time to me any more. (Time: it passes very fast!) But for having an journal, it is quite a while.

I'm glad you did. I'd probably not have known you otherwise.

On one hand, I think it's nice to have at least some events of your life catalogued so you can have a laugh or a nostalgic sigh over them... on another, there really are things that I'd rather forget. But then, I've only been intermittently writing on LJ for about 3.5 years. :-)
