Dear flist,

I should not be able to guess which character I like recently died in BSG just by looking at your reaction posts. Please, be more careful with spoilers? LJ-cut are your friend.

Grumpily yours,
Etrangere

yeah, it's not you. It's the conjunction of three posts + two posts made at a community which didn't left any room for doubt any more (and I was already at least 60% certain of it).

Yeah, I've been careful not to say anything about BSG on LJ as I know quite a few people watching it in the UK and Ireland on Sky, which doesn't broadcast the episode until a week later and since every single episode left is packed with huge revelations, unexpected major deaths and so on, it seems like a wise precaution :-)

Try to avoid the trailers for next week's episode as well. They spoil some pretty massive things. I won't be surprised if the producers get pissed off at the promo people for doing that.

Wish all the people on my flist were like that!

Heh, I even avoid watching the montage at the start of the episode showing scenes from later in the episode. Whoever thought that this would be a good idea?

I do that as well, it is very annoying that they do that and I hope it doesn't catch on for other shows (to be fair, it's possible that what they show isn't very spoilery, but since I always look away when it comes on I can't tell).

That sort of thing does annoy me a bit, when people assume that just because they're not saying the spoiler outright that talking about it is necessarily safe - if someone does start talking about a spoiler in a round-about way I can't help trying to figure out what it is, even though I don't actually want to know, and it's often fairly easy to work out what the spoiler was from their comments.
