I had another pretty busy week.
Monday, I got to watch an avant premiere of Star Trek and Coraline - both were pretty good. Well, Coraline was awesome, and Star Trek was okay in a shallow good fun and pretty FX way.
Tuesday, I went to Disneyland Paris to accompany my visiting cousin from Israel (another one than the one who was staying at my parents' a couple of years ago) who's in vacation at my parents' before her military service, which was pretty fun if tiring (unexpectedly I found myself buying a Nightmare Before Christmas-themed plaid. (The mind boggle cuz I'm one of the least merchandising-inclined person I know).
Wednesday I, errr, rested. Okay actually I haven't done so much this week. And realised I could no longer watch the Colbert Report and the Daily Show on streaming on their websites :((( Damn you Comedy Central. Now I have to watch them illegally, like most of the other stuff I watch.
Today, I'm waiting for my Dreamwidth invite which IS NOT COMING. Damn you Dreamwidth! You did say Open ID account would receive an invite on the 1st of May! Of course I could probably get an invite in all of 5 seconds by asking one of the many people of my flist who have them but it's the principle of the thing :p
Also I swapped by 2nd ed Exalted corebook for an Everway box - a pretty old rules lite fantasy game - cuz I've been feeling like mastering something, but not something crunchy like Exalted.
And I kinda fail at answering memes which is surely not new.

I think I saw somewhere that they have to send out the invite codes to Open ID users manually, one by one, for some reason -- they can't do it automatically in one big batch.

If that's so I feel very sorry for them O_o, although it seems to contradict what they said in their latest news report.

Oh, I can't wait for Coraline. The Nork is particularly excited by the whole thing.

One more week :)

I haven't gotten my Open_ID-account-based Dreamwidth invite either (but I signed up for Open_ID really late). Also, I don't actually know that I will do anything with it. But, like you said, principle of the thing.

Haven't seen Coraline yet, but can't wait for it to come out on video so we can all watch it (provided it's not too scary for the kids...)

For the invite apparently it's my own fault for failing to confirm my e mail address. Of course I thought I had and I feel stupid now :)

I didn't find Coraline very scary, IMO. NO more than kid movies can be, I mean.

Apparently I neglected to do the same thing (and also thought I had) -- so you're in good company :) Or, well, *my* company, anyway. :P

Same here, but I've received the code, so yours will come too. Sometime.

That's funny, we're due to start playing EXALTED for the first time in a couple of weeks. I was a bit bemused that it took about 3 hours to create our character and the GM had to go off for a month to write the adventure. That seemed excessive.

Oddly, I kept thinking I'd read a review of EXALTED in Dragon Magazine years ago and it turned out to be nothing like I'd thought. When I looked up the review it was actually EVERWAY I was thinking of :-)

HAHA what a great coincidence;

I love Exalted, I mean I sold my 2ed ed, but I still got my 1st ed which I played most with. (It's only slightly less crunchy but I mostly already learned it so I'm okay with that).

One of the great thing about Exalted is the way it places PCs at the center of the story, so the GM taking time to write an adventure after you created your characters nad backgrounds might be a good sign related to that.

Tell me about the character you created. Are they Solar? Which caste?

I picked a Night Solar who was outcast from the main empire and fled to live in the islands of 'The West'. I gather our group has the goal of creating some kind of safe kingdom out there but it's all a bit vague at the moment.

I'm looking forward to both Coraline and Star Trek.
I saw Dragonball in Amsterdam which was not good despite the fact that I was both drunk and stoned...I need to watch a good movie,
