Because I haven't done a poll in 6 months, here's another one about my anime reviews (and how I could improve them) ^^

Don't hesitate to drop a comment if you've got something else to say not covered in the poll.

[Poll #1579863]

I think having a separate comm would make this more accessible to a wider range of readers (:

I was thinking about that maybe, yes :)

I'm not being very helpful. I feel like you have a rating system! It's just that it gets expressed over paragraphs, which is as I think it should be.

haha, that's exactly what i was thinking of doing when I started them up so I'm glad that comes across. However I've considered that when I visit a blog one of the quick way for me to make an opinion of it is to look at which show they rate best, and if their tastes agree with mine, use that list bested rated show to decide what to watch next. I mean, I could use it only for tagging purpose even, but it's handy when someone wants to have a cursory look at something without waffling through text.

I feel like having some sort of quantitative grading system could be helpful, if you wanted to steer your reviews in that direction. On the other hands, your reviews as they are do a great job of expressing what you think, so if it strikes you as extraneous, there's no reason why you have to do it.

Well, it could be useful to have at
the end of the review some complement
to see where is the anime, compared to
others. Which can be used as guidelines
to discover other animes (or/and old anime
reviews) as well.

Some sort of: you'll like it if you
already like XXXX, YYYY...
Or: More hilarious than VVVV which
deals with the same main thema...
Might have been inspired by WWW...
(Or more developed comparisons, of course)

And: If you already know and like this
anime, you may try to see these other:
BBB and AAA...

I like your reviews a lot, and I'm sure that whatever you do with them (changing them or not) wouldn't make any real difference to how much I'd like them. So I haven't filled in the poll, since I don't have an opinion on those questions. ^^;

But for people who might surf by looking just for reviews, maybe some sort of rating thing would be good for them.

yeah, that was the sort of things I was thinking of.

Then again I'm not sure there many people surfing around who look at my reviews ^_^;

I feel my voting mostly reflected my obsessive tagging tendencies.

haha I approve of obsessive tagging tendencies, having only gotten more obsessive myself about them as I saw more examples of tagging system like yours and a few other ljers ;)
