My computer screen has been dying for a while now. It's very frustrating. It does that thing when I turn it on where it's got a very low luminosity for a while, then it's got a stroboscopic effect for a while (lucky I'm not epileptic) before finally settling down normally at which point I can use it normally until the next time I turn it off.

Trouble is the lapse of time of low-light/strobo effect to the point it's more than one hour now... Lemme see it's 4:30, I turned it on at 2:30 I think, and it's not settled yet... make than more than two hours. Argh.

I've been trying to wait until September so I could get a new screen as a birthday present from my dad, but this is starting to stretch the usability I get out of it. Sighs. Though with my finance as they are right now, I'd rather not buy a new one myself. No chance of any east way to fix this I suppose?

Have you tried the good old method of hitting it?
I had an insubordinate computer screen years ago which I kept going for about half a year with this method(everything turned yellow and a solid hit brought the other colours back).

si ce problème ne se produit qu'à l'allumage, la solution temporaire est simple : ne l'éteinds pas.

ce n'est pas très économique/-logique, mais ça ne durera qu'un petit mois.

à l'allumage de mon ordi. En fait en général j'éteins jamais mon écran, je m'y suis seulement mis quand j'ai commencé à avoir eu ce probleme.

Et laisser mon ordi allumé pendant un mois, euh, c'est un peu bruyant ^^;;

Si ce n'est pas lié à l'allumage de l'écran mais à celui de l'ordi, ce n'est pas l'écran mais la carte graphique qui merde alors, non ?

non, j'ai testé l'écran avec mon lecteur dvd (séparé de l'ordi et de la cart graphique donc) et le problème est le meme.
