Characters I identify with are few and far between, and usually for rathe weird reasons that would be hard to put into words. However the question is about "having in common with", so I'll go with a fact-based one I don't relate with a whole lot: Willow Rosenberg



Middle class Jewish sort-of-bisexual geek girl that she is. And I'm fascinated by mythology enough to count the Wicca as a half point too. I have to say I certainly did relate enough with her part of the dream in Restless.

What does she dream of in Restless? I don't remember. Willow is adorkable. But then I like most recurring characters in BtVS.

I was thinking especially about the part where someone goes and remove her confident-college-student-Willow persona as if it was a costume ("nobody's fooled") to reveal the insecure-nerd-highschool-student-Willow underneath who makes a book report in front of a class that doesn't care and mocks her.

I find it a great metaphor of the way I feel sometimes : like the ways I act trying to fit in or just being confident is just a mask I wear >_<

Yeah, I like Willow, at least in the beginning of the series. I used to be a big Buffy fan so I certainly used to love most recurring characters in BtVS XD

I admit, I'm not a huge fan of Buffy, particularly in its latter seasons, but I always really liked Willow. She was so adorkable!

haha, I loved the latter seasons of Btvs, except for S7.

I have some mixed feelings about Willow, because of how Whedon always have those cute characters and use them in specific ways in the narrative that kind of annoy me.

Oh, he has "Moe" characters then? I'm not that familiar with Whedon's work, but I have mixed feelings at best with what I have seen.

Whew. TBH I always get a little paranoid that people will dislike me if I disagree with them on something. So, I was relived that you didn't mind I'm not fond of the last seasons of Btvs.

yeah, Whedon comes very close to "moe" aesthetics with a lot of his characters, actually. It's kind of funny.

Hahahaha, I never hated anyone for disagreeing with me, especially not for something like fandom taste, for srs. Never fear disagreeing with me on that *hugs* People have different tastes; it's no big deal.
