NOEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES HOW WRONG IS THAT THEY GIVE SANDOR'S LINE TO PETYR??!!!!111!:!1!1!1!1 it doesn't work at all!!! that's when Sandor and Sansa first start bonding, and it shows Sansa's compassion when she really means the "i won't tell anyone, i promise", but there it becomes something else entirely, and why would Petyr even care to tell it to Sansa (besides replacing "life's a not song, sweetling." i guess) and besides part of the point is that Sandor would never have told it to anyone (okay, it's Petyr, he probably would have found out through other means if he thought it could be useful to him in some ways, but still). And, and, where's the rest of the Tourney? Are they going to show it next ep? Or is that all with it? I want to see Sandor kicking ass *_*

I liked almost everything else in the ep. Cat's crowning moment of awesome as cliffhanger was indeed awesome (and well set up by Cersei's talk with Joffrey the previous episode too!). Ned's blundering investigation in King's Landing, led to a merry chase by Pycelle and Petyr (and not yet Varys, but with time :3); Jon Snow finally getting to be cool (lol ghosty Ghost), must be thanks to Sam finally being there. Lots of monologuing and exposition, but somehow it works. Viserys on the dragon skulls is still very much himself while also giving him some dimension. Loved Bran's dream too, even if it's not quite the kickass dream he has in the books yet.

I'm like 99.9% positive that we see more of the tourney. I remember stuf from trailers. :D

Yes, someone (Ran?) confirmed that the tourney goes on into (through?) Ep 5. We get Loras, and Sandor -v- Gregor, and so on. I do wish they'd made it look like a bigger event, though, with more people attending.

I agree about moving the line, though - I guess it's also to play up how dangerous Sandor is, as well as giving more to LF, but surely they could have done something else.

The only thing I'm missing right now is the desperation with which Sansa still wants to be Joffrey's betrothed. That feeds so much into what she does later, and right now I'm afraid she's being set up to make this decision that will make even less sense in the show than it does in the books. (Although I did like that "and everyone will hate me" line that they gave her - a little nod to popular opinion? Haha. Poor Sansa.)

they seem to be playing it up as a rift with her father. Which, urgh, can work in some fashion, but so much more is yeah, her admiration for beautiful queen Cersei and her dashing prince Joff >_>;

yeah, but at the same time they don't show her quality. She cares for what other people think and society's expectation, but not because she's shallow and vain. She cares for people. She sees politeness and kindness as a strength, as an armor. She isn't just boycrazy with Joff (though it's a factor), she also loves the romance of it, the loving the songs part - it's one of the thing I love in Sansa. Right now she's only shallow!Sansa :(

The rest of the tourney is next week. Including the BOO-YAR SANDOR! stuff.

This episode really shows how screwed up the timeline is, though in the books GRRM is able to fudge it a bit. But here it's like Tyrion and Yoren take the same time to get from Winterfell to the Inn that Catelyn and Rodrik take to get up there from KL. It's like, huh?

yeah, weirdly enough it disturbed me less than in the previous episode. but some way to hint us to the passage of time wouldn't be missed, no.

WTF! Is your brother evil or what???!!!

ASOIAF is like, my oldest fandom really. 10 years or 11 I've been into it ^_^ we need to get you the books back. It's not difficult to download if you're okay with reading text on a screen or listening to audio tapes, I think.

Oh goodie~
Well my brother's not evil, but he lives in Boston and I live on the other side of the world and he wanted his books back, so I had to send em over. My fault for not reading faster anyway.
